Am I Eligible?

You must 

  • have a total gross income of $2,500 earned over two calendar quarters of the base period.
  • maintain your eligibility while receiving benefits by being able and available for full time work, actively seeking and reporting weekly work searches and registering for work as required.

What do I need to file my claim?

  • Your Social Security Number ( if not a U.S. citizen, your alien registration number, work permit type, passport number and expiration date)
  • Name of last employer, mailing address and phone number
  • Dates of employment
  • Hours and gross wages earned in your last week of work
  • Other deductible income received in the last week of employment; such as vacation, severance or bonus pay.

How to apply for Unemployment Insurance Benefits?

File online

  • Go to the official website, click on Unemployment Insurance Benefits
  • File Claim, then Establish a New or Reopen a UC Claim and follow the prompts.

File by phone

  • Call the claim center at: 1-888-252-2557, Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Once you open your claim you will be required to file bi-weekly claims.
