Description

The Parts Warehouse Clerk is responsible for responding to customers' needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency.

Must also provide prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of all parts transactions and related warehouse activities.

This requires working independently, with a specific direction, or as a member of a team.

Essential Functions :

  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work area in a good, clean, and working order
  • Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse.

To be monitored by management observation and stock order analysis reports, as well as daily and year-end physical inventories.

  • Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
  • Develops sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement and achievement of other KRA's
  • Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
  • Learns how to place 3rd party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
  • Works overtime as required by workload
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines including; order pulling, job-related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder JSA, battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
  • General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
  • Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
  • Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

4. Pull merchandise per loading ticket and prepare package in staging area for delivery or pickup. Ensure proper merchandise pulled according to loading ticket.

Mark load with order number and date.

5. Cut sheets according to Customer specification and notify management of cut boards. PA : Inventory properly accounted for.

6. If assigned to this machinery, adhere to Company forklift preventative maintenance standards and advise management of mechanical and maintenance problems with forklift to ensure that repairs and maintenance are performed.

7. Participate in the execution of scheduled cycle counts.

8. Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.

9. Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
