Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager and Dispatch Coordinator, a Class A Interstate Commercial Truck Driver is responsible for daily transportation assignments.
You are responsible for timely and successful completion of pick-up and delivery assignments and must assist loading and unloading materials as needed.

Duties
- Ability to maintain perfect attendance and punctuality
- Ensure timely and successful completion of deliveries
- Unload and load materials
- Work in conjunction with Dispatch Coordinator to ensure successful completion of deliveries
- Follow federal and company safety procedures
- Ability to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Hours of Service (HOS) manual and / or Electronic Long Data (ELD)
- Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) per the FMCSA
- Demonstrate proper driving habits
- Maintain proper paperwork
- Organize and submit required paperwork to Dispatch Coordinator
- Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives
- Any other duties required of this position
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months verified commercial driving experience
- Excellent attendance at current or previous employment
- Must pass DOT drug test
- Must pass a background check and motor vehicle report
- Must provide valid Medical Card
- Must pass basic physical test
- Must pass a Bedrosians road test
- Must provide valid Class A CDL
- Valid TWIC card
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and good time management skills
- Good customer service
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to read, interpret and follow company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate log book
- Ability to ensure all safety procedures are followed
- Must pass a drug / alcohol test

Transportation Operator (Truck Driver)

Overview :
The motor transportation operators are primarily responsible for supervising or operating wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo.
They are the backbone of the Army's support and sustainment structure, providing advanced mobility.
Job Duties :
- Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
- Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
Some of the skills you’ll learn are :
- Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
- Identify, correct or report all vehicle deficiencies.
- Prepare vehicle for movement / shipment by air, rail or vessel.
Requirements :
- Must be a US citizen or I-551 cardholder.
- Must be between the age of 17-34.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a criminal background check with no open law violations.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- No felony.
- Must currently be in good health with no physical limitations.

Minimum Qualifications
Age 22 with 18 or more months of verifiable over the road (OTR) truck driving experience occurring within the past 36 months; OR
9 months OTR driving and truck driving school (documentation required)
For either above, a minimum of 6 months OTR driving must have occurred within past 12 months
No more than 3 jobs in the prior 12 months, and no more than 7 jobs in the previous 36 months.
Other driving experience and employment history considered upon review
Any Candidate who has been discharged from a driving job in previous 12 months is subject to review / approval by Director of Risk Management.
