Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop software for an advanced satellite broadband telecom service? The Asset and Configuration Management Engineering (ACME) team owns the tracking and managing Kuiper assets, such as satellites and ground stations, and their configuration.

The systems we build serve a fundamental role in the successful operation of the satellite constellation, these systems need to have mission-critical reliability, uptime, and performance.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop software systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements.
- Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Project Kuiper.
- Help on-board new team members.
- Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services.

About the team
The ACME team's mission is to track Kuiper assets and provide a central system for accessing, modifying, and understanding configuration values for these assets, as is needed for a safe operation of the constellation. Through automation, we will validate all new and updated configuration values as required before delivering to the destination assets.

A day in the life
In initial expectations, this role will enable Kuiper’s Enterprise Applications, Design Tools and homegrown software services with best in class infrastructure solutions. Looking deeper, this is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated manager to build a team and organizational processes from the ground up. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires working closely with, Networking, IT, Mechanical Engineering, Enterprise Applications, product and program management, finance, legal and business development teams to bring products to guarantee best in class Satelite manufacturing and operation. Strategic vision in order to scale Kuiper's Infrastructure solution over time as well as tactical application to make sure all applications and services across the Kuiper landscape are functioning as expected. High attention to detail and intrinsic motivation required; as well as proven track record of launching successful teams in an ambiguous environment.
