What You'll Do
We're looking for a Lead Gameplay Engine Programmer to lead a team who will build the systems that Unreal Engine customers build their games on. You and your team will also be improving and supporting existing gameplay systems such as Blueprint, Gameplay Ability System, Enhanced Input, Game Features and Modular Gameplay plugins. You should have experience leading a team of programmers and setting them up for success.

What We Do

What You'll Do
People within the QA Engineer career track work with product owners, developers, and QA management to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features/releases. You will develop and implement automation test strategies and utilize technical tooling to expand breadth and add depth to QA coverage of multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What You'll Do
As a Senior Technical Artist for our new game project, you will play a crucial role in solving character-related challenges and optimizing the character implementation pipeline. Your responsibilities will include integrating characters into the game engine while maintaining artistic vision and performance standards. You will utilize your expertise in Unreal Engine material lookdev and the material graph to create visually impressive and efficient character materials. Additionally, your proficiency in Blueprint scripting and understanding of the character implementation pipeline will enable you to extend and optimize asset integration. Your familiarity with third-party DCCs and problem-solving skills will contribute to addressing technical issues and streamlining asset workflows.
In this role, you will
- Character Implementation Pipeline: Collaborate with the art and engineering teams to optimize the character implementation pipeline, ensuring efficient workflows and maintaining the artistic vision from DCCs to in-game assets.
- Material LookDev: Utilize your deep knowledge of Unreal Engine material lookdev and the material graph to create visually stunning and technically efficient materials for characters, enhancing their appearance and overall visual fidelity within the optimized pipeline.
- Blueprint Knowledge: Utilize your understanding of blueprint scripting to extend and improve the character implementation pipeline, enabling smoother asset integration and addressing any technical challenges that may arise.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to the character implementation pipeline, including optimizing asset creation workflows, addressing rendering artifacts, and streamlining asset pipelines. Continuously explore and implement new techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and quality in character production.
- Third-Party DCCs: Leverage your proficiency with third-party DCCs such as Nuke, Maya, Houdini and Substance Painter to create, modify, and optimize character assets. Collaborate with artists to streamline asset creation and ensure seamless integration into the optimized pipeline.
What we're looking for
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine material lookdev and the material graph.
- Blueprint scripting experience in Unreal Engine to understand and extend the character implementation pipeline, enabling smoother asset integration and addressing technical challenges.
- Familiarity with third-party DCCs such as Nuke, Maya, Houdini, and Substance Painter, for asset creation, modification, and optimization within the optimized pipeline.
- Programming experience, particularly in Python scripting, to automate tasks, enhance workflows, and further optimize the character implementation pipeline.

The Role
