TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Act as a conduit between Information Security and the Architecture, Engineering or Development teams
  • Ability to design and integrate leading vulnerability management, threat management, monitoring and data protection processes and platform tools
  • Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the business and guide teams on usage
  • Actively monitor the business area security posture to design and write proposals to remedy the cause of negative trends
  • Proactively monitor new development to discover subsystems or components that should be evolved into shared infrastructure
  • Proactively research, monitor, learn and assess industry / technology advancements and continually build alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written); interpersonal; customer service and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management to convey cybersecurity and risk management best practices
  • Strong delegation skills in prioritizing and reprioritizing projects of various size and complexity across multiple functional groups and departments
  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issues
  • All other duties as assigned.

GoHealth is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join its InfoSec department. This person will play an integral role in ensuring protection of our network and data.

This candidate will oversee and delegate to the group major initiatives and be involved in strategy, planning, vendor selection, assessment and implementation.

What you’ll do :

  • The Candidate will develop and test patches to fix Software, Hardware and Firmware vulnerabilities
  • The Candidate will concentrate on vulnerability management including analysis and remediation of IAVMs, Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), Vendor Patches and STIG configurations
  • Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps
  • Develop test plans / procedures for software integration and unit test
  • Work with software developers and / or vendors as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system integration
  • Submit problem reports for errors found per Agile processes and coordinate daily integration activities
  • Installing and unit testing Cyber Products
  • Providing redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership will be required as part of this position responsibilities
  • Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required in daily tasks as well

What we’re looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required, with expertise in security architecture design, network security, mobile security, vulnerability management, threat intelligence / analysis, and risk management.
  • CISSP or CISM Required
  • Experience with vendor selection
  • Superior collaboration, communication, people management, and coaching skills
  • In-depth understanding of relevant frameworks and regulations including HIPAA, SOX, and NIST
  • Ability to translate complex technology and security information into understandable business risks

Position Details :

The Security Engineering Manager leads the team in the implementation, automation, and management of Grainger security tools.

You will provide guidance and set strategy as the team continues to improve Grainger security posture. You will act in a liaison capacity with other areas within Enterprise Systems, the business and company vendors or suppliers.
