Job Description
TBD is looking for a passionate Staff Security Engineer who is excited to jump in and help drive security engineering efforts.
We are looking for individuals that have hands-on experience securing the payment process. You should have a natural sense of curiosity, a propensity for action, and a collaborative and diplomatic approach to problem solving.
You will also work cross functionally with engineering teams to architect security solutions.
You Will :
- Respond to all security incidents and manage end-to-end incident response lifecycle
- Implement security technical and process improvements
- Implement automation for security tasks such as audit, metrics collection, and reporting
- Maintain strong awareness of events in the external community to identify threats and opportunities for enhancement.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and make recommendations
- Evaluate, test, implement and support third party security too
- Monitor active threats, analyze them and come up with a remediation plan.
- Monitor, Audit, Detect and Remediate critical Security exposures in Infrastructure
Qualifications
You Have :
- 8+ years of security engineering experience
- A desire to help build secure products, not just poke holes in it.
- Experience advising product teams on how to address a broad set of security and privacy challenges
- Experience shipping code in consumer-facing products
- Knowledge of any scripting languages like : Python, Perl, Rust etc
- Understanding of cryptography fundamentals (experience with bitcoin is a plus but not a requirement
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

What you’ll do :
Perform comprehensive offensive security and privacy assessments (Red & Orange teaming) across cloud, and mobile environments.
Emulate attacks from real world adversaries in order to assess and improve our security and signaling.
Discover vulnerabilities and exploit them in a discreet manner to minimize detection and avoid unnecessary disruption.

Minimum Qualifications :

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $165,00 - $230,000 annually
The base salary range for this position is $157,000 - $219,000 annually
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $196,000 annually

- Collaborative Security Engineers experienced working cross-functionally with stakeholders to manage projects, and incidents, to create positive change for the organization
- Experienced candidates who have participated and led incident management processes, including security incident response
- Demonstrated knowledge of both on-premise and cloud-based corporate security technologies such as endpoint detection and response technologies, vulnerability management scanners, cloud identity providers
- Experienced working with development workflows in source control, infrastructure as code, and CI / CD pipelines

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $155,000 - $206,000 in Denver & most remote locations, and $200,000 - $230,000 for San Francisco & New York.
