The Boeing Company is seeking a Program Protection Manager - Product Security to lead Program Protection (P2) activities in the Space and Launch portfolio.
The qualified candidate will lead and manage a team of system engineers deployed on multiple Boeing Space and Launch programs.
This position can be located El Segundo, CA, Seal Beach, CA or Huntington Beach, CA
General knowledge of program protection processes and procedures are required. Experience with Critical Program Information (CPI’s) and Critical Components (CC’s) are required.
They must be skilled in advising a work group regarding P2 tasks, projects and operations. Must be able to consistently and pro-actively recognize and work through a wide range of P2 issues and resolve them quickly.
Primary Responsibilities :
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Establishes processes to ensure delivery of key high visibility P2 / OPSEC / CONOP plans to customer
Provides leadership over planning, scheduling, risk management and opportunity capture activities for cyber security
Collaborates with cross functional departments to ensure that program protection objectives are being met
Management Duties Include :
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Plan and manage program protection security work scope (Cost, Schedule, Technical Quality)
Coach, counsel, mentor and provide developmental opportunities for employees
Perform employee performance management, hiring, retention, awards / recognition, and goal setting
Execute to program staffing, hiring, critical skills, and employee development plans.
Construct Cross functional lessons learned and collaboration amongst various P2 Teams
This position requires an active TS / SCI U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (required skills / experience) :
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
3+ years’ experience l eading or managing an engineering project or team
5+ years of experience applying system engineering principles during the development of complex hardware / software solutions on an aerospace platform
Preferred Qualifications (desired skills / experience) :
Experience working with government customers and government programs
Previous program protection or technical leadership experience

FILING DATE :
OPEN UNTIL FILLED. The District Classified application, supplemental form and Campus Security Certification must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill vacancies and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees.
The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.
Positions in this classification are part-time or full-time (25-40 hours per week), 10 months per year.
The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and / or an oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis.

Basic Function

Responsibilities
The Security Officer is expected to provide a reasonably safe and secure environment for all who enter Dignity Health properties and to assure the physical security of buildings and grounds.
It is expected that the security officer will demonstrate behavior consistent with Dignity Health core value and humankindness.
The security officer shall support Dignity Health’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement / process improvement activities.
Responsibilities include :
- Protecting staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, opening doors, and responding to emergency codes.
- Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed, and report unsafe acts or conditions.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a Security Officer involving extensive public contact is required.
- Completion of IAHSS Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officer within 90 days of hire.
- CPR Training within 60 days of hire.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to speak English.
- Current Driver’s License issued by the State wherein the position is posted with satisfactory DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Current State issued Security Officer License, if applicable, showing no disciplinary actions.

Preferred Requirements :
- One year experience as a Security Officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service
