The Seasonal Delivery Driver Helper is a position lasting 90 to 120 days from the date of hire.

This fast-paced role is responsible for assisting the driver with merchandising, rotation of back-stock, and delivering goods;

stocking products on shelves, displays, and in coolers; assisting the driver with clean up and securing assets before leaving an outlet and safety functions such as backing in and parking.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accompany the driver in a truck throughout the day, to deliver, fill, merchandise to standard (LOS), and rotate products to customer accounts efficiently and effectively
  • Exercise safe practices at all times and ensure a safe and clean work environment by performing related activities, including but not limited to cleaning up and securing assets before leaving an outlet and maintaining clean company vehicles
  • Foster relationships with store staff and provide superior customer service

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Willingness to start days early and on time
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of lifting 75 lbs. of product repetitively
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing in and out of a truck is necessary
  • Able to work productivity in inclement weather
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all fellow employees, customers, and consumers
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with a team spirit
  • Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Availability to work flexible hours in variable weather conditions (including extreme heat)
  • Ability and willingness to adhere to appearance standards
  • Previous experience delivering, stocking, and merchandising products is preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
  • Required to obtain a DOT Medical Card and must be willing to train and obtain a CDL-A license

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct freshwater mussel surveys;
  • Conduct bathymetric surveys;
  • Lead the Stantec scientific dive team;
  • Act as a member of the Stantec commercial dive team;
  • Supervise Surface Supplied Air and SCUBA diving operations onsite;
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of diving equipment;
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of boats, trucks, and other field equipment;
  • Prepare and enforce dive plans, job hazard analysis, and emergency management plans for projects;
  • Conduct sediment sampling;

Participate in multi-disciplinary environmental assessments

  • Ability to inspect, maintain boats, trucks and other field equipment, ability to repair a plus;
  • Ability to record and track dive and maintenance logs;

Data analysis and report writing; and

Flexible schedule and willingness to travel for prolonged periods for field assignments.

The position will primarily work on job sites. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

  • Licensure : State Issued Driver’s License required and DOT Driver certification preferred;
  • Ability to pass Army Corps of Engineers background check required;

Current Physical, First-Aid, Oxygen, CPR certification or the ability to obtain.
