Job Description Summary :

Responsible for generating new business in an assigned territory (maintain positive customer relations with all parties interested in Intertek services within their defined sales territory (i.

e., prospects, existing clients, colleagues, industry groups, shareholders, other Business lines / GTS offices, etc). Assist Sales Manager with coordination, preparation and attending of marketing events and involvement in Marketing activities.

What you'll do on the job :

  • Responsible for supporting with strategic plans to target clients in assigned territory, including monthly calls with key clients / accounts, calling new clients assigned on daily basis and evaluating areas / services that we can acquire more business from existing clients.
  • Schedule sales visits with clients, conduct regular meetings to include decision makers of accounts. Have materials and presentation ready for your meetings.

Visit / meeting schedule to be shared with Sales Manager. After meeting / visit prepare report with meeting outcome and next steps.

  • Compile information from client to prepare proposal / quotes, issue relevant proposal / quotes.
  • Prepare Weekly reports summarizing all activities carried out in the week( New client meeting / visit, quotes / proposal, new project won or projects lost.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure different service phases are completed in timely and satisfactory manner (CS team, inspection, accounting, etc).

After services are completed, conduct timely closing call with client to get feedback on customer satisfaction f and future service request / opportunities.

  • Utilize field technology devices provided by Corporate office (e.g., software, laptop computer, portable printer, fax machine, cellular telephone, pager, etc) to simply tasks and organization efficiency.
  • Monitor / mediate customer service issues; ensuring client questions / problems are quickly addressed and resolved. Utilize all available resources to satisfy customers and escalate to manager when necessary.
  • Create Log to track all sales activities in progress. Follow up on outstanding proposals, service request and enquiries, monitor proposal status to service fulfilment.

Ensure all closed proposals / signed agreements client agree with Intertek Terms & Conditions. All signed agreements are prepared in the appropriate template and stored in Client work file for job traceability purposes.

  • Communicate to Sales Manager areas of opportunities or problems which may require immediate attention or solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough, up-to-date record of major client and prospect database, in IConnect from the new lead to closing the opportunity.
  • Support Sales manager with ideas to penetrate the supplier bases of existing clients (from inactive to active clients which contributes to our Sales budget.
  • Assist Finance department as needed with Accounts Receivable / collection issues.
  • Establish and pursue personal growth goals to further sales / industry knowledge and effectiveness. Professional skills development details to be developed with assistance of General Manger or Other Upper Management and Human Resources department.
  • Maintain awareness of key regional / national sales growth opportunities by acquiring new clients and increase volumes of existing clients.

Including getting feedback on what our competitors are doing and better offering solutions.

Assist Sales & Marketing Manager with organization of marketing activities / events. Attend local events in the territory assigned.

Qualifications :

  • 3 5 years of Customer Service and / or equivalent industry experience is required.

  • Two years or higher education degree / certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to initiate, negotiate and acquire new business contracts for new and existing clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of GTS services, from consultation to deliverable of an order. Experience and confidence to make recommendations to prospects in any of these areas.
  • Ability to manage self and territory independently, while achieving territory revenue / business goals
  • Time & Organization Management skills, customer-service focus, excellent teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge handling technology efficiently - sales software tools and hardware technologies (laptop, cell phone, I Connect, etc.)
