Job Description
This position is responsible for providing the leadership, direction and resources to effectively manage retail stores, daily departmental operations and special projects in support of the theme park and City Walk.
Essential Functions :
Executes strategic plans to optimize store profits while maintaining quality, cleanliness and Guest Service standards.
Consistently drive process improvements and efficiencies to enhance Guest Service and retail store operations.
- Create and foster a cohesive team while demonstrating organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Partner with Human Resources Manager to continuously train, develop and promote all restaurant teams through individual performance planning.
- Responsible for performance development including administering discipline, resolving employee relation’s issues and conducting individual and team meetings.
Responsible for development of staff including training, mentoring and coaching.
- Accountable for maximizing daily sales and effectively managing costs, labor, inventory and cash control, while focusing on exceeding annual EBITDA targets.
- Communicates on a constant basis with Area Manager regarding Retail Stores and staff performances and challenges.
- Takes an active part in recruitment and retention of staff.
- Ensures that shopper reports are within acceptable levels.
- Responsible for developing weekly schedules, with a focus on maintaining staffing levels that satisfy budget as well as guest service goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment and Union guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain or exceed weekly budgeted variable operation results : shrink, variable labor, safety, guest service, cleanliness and visual / merchandising presentation.
Responsible for monitoring performance and making recommendations to maximize current trends.
- Exceed annual EBITDA targets.
- Communicate on a regular basis with Area Manager regarding locations performance and challenges; make recommendations for improvement when necessary.
- Review and analyze store performance results daily while identifying and resolving opportunities with management team.
Qualifications
- Experience : 3+ years of high volume retail store management experience.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or related field), or 5 years Industry experience preferred
- Working Knowledge of Windows 95 / 98 (Word, Excel, POS). Previous experience with JDA preferred.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

- Previous retail management experience, specifically within the theme park / entertainment industry preferred
- A strong passion for delivering the highest quality of guest service.
- Ability to achieve results through the flawless execution of strategies and objectives
- Ability to work rotating schedules, holidays, weekends and nights

Primary Responsibility / Summary
Responsible for the efficient operation of a Retail Store, Boutique or Attended Donation Center (ADC), withaccountability for the operations functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs manager on duty activities as assigned by Site Manager. Including opening and closing, managerial operations of a cash register;
trains, leads and encourages Ambassadors to meet goals, providing training and guidance while maintaining established company standard operating procedures (SOP).
Provide excellent service, engages with each Ambassador, customer and donor, while presenting a friendly and cooperative attitude.

- Ensure a safe work environment by maintaining a clean and safe environment by following all established company standard operating policies and procedures and exercises caution in work related activities.

- Buying : Trains, evaluates and coaches Ambassadors to process donated goods meeting quantity, quality and key performance indicator (KPI) business goals, following established SOPs and guidelines.
- Ecommerce : Trains, evaluates and coaches Ambassadors to identify and process ecommerce collectables and other items, luxury brands and books, to meet goals and established SOPs and guidelines.
- Ensures accurate capture of donor information, proper sorting of goods and maintaining safety according to established SOPs and guidelines.
- Backroom : Ensuring proper procedures are followed to maintain backroom compliance including, transferring goods, Kaizen, hazmat, supply storage, purchased product, safety and truck swaps.
- Work flexible shifts; including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when needed. May be required to work at a nearby location.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the Truck Swap process and performs necessary cleaning and janitorial work.
- Attends meetings and training as required. If required to drive for a work event, you must have a valid CDL and required auto insurance.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job supervises 5-10 ambassadors when acting as manager-on-duty.
