Responsibilities :

Verify and certify starting cash bank; and balance out at the end of shift. Operate cash register; accepts cash and credit cards;

Advise lead cashier on need for cash mid-days and complete change requests. Closing procedures, re-stock, retain, organize and recover nightly

  • Stock the venue, clean, organize and maintain a clean retail venue. Follow all shrink procedures to maintain cost
  • Greet guests; provide on-floor suggestive selling, take and fills guest orders for merchandise in positive, outgoing manner.

Merchandise replenishment-Maintain stock inform Lead / manager of needed supplies and merchandise

Promotes and provides extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answers questions and offers information in a courteous manner.

Seeks to provide assistance to guests

  • Understands and demonstrates the proper use of safety practices and ensures department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park upheld
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description

Summary :

The Sous Chef would primarily be responsible for all culinary offerings in a designated area of Universal Studios Hollywood.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service at all levels. This position in culinary is responsible for supervising and developing teams working across Universal Studios Hollywood.

Responsibilities :

  • Proper and consistent production of all food products at all times
  • Conduct daily inspections of the facility and complete the daily walk through reports for all areas
  • Maintain all kitchens in a sanitary condition at all times
  • Work in conjunction with facilities to insure proper maintenance of all equipment
  • Accurately complete and maintain the daily production log and weekly production plan
  • In partnership with the Food Warehouse and the Fresh Product Receiving Clerk, inspect all received product
  • Create and maintain production recipes and specification book and photos.
  • Ensure that all charges into and out of the restaurants are current and correct.
  • Communicate with the information technology group to insure that all recipes are updated and accurate
  • Partner with the EATEC Team to insure all inventories are correct
  • Support the culinary team within the Theme Park and Catering, as assigned
  • Assist in the creation of innovative menus for new products as needed.
  • Practice effective organizational skills at all times
  • Work within all health and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in the development of all food staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective control of cost of goods and waste
  • Uphold exceptional standards and practices at all times
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong working relationships across all functions within the park.
  • Provide operational analysis understanding to culinary and operational teams
  • Ensure the success of the food service waste management program.
  • Utilize all excess food items and insure it is transferred and or repurposed

  • Understand the role that culinary plays in supporting our internal customers so that they are able to provide excellent products and services to our paying guests

  • Graduate of an accredited culinary school required
  • Proven knowledge of Word and Excel

Job Description

SUMMARY :

The USH Merchandise Manager maintains oversight of the Merchandising team within Retail Operation’s Visual Merchandising Department (VMD).

This role is responsible for the Merchandising plans, execution, maintenance of in-store product displays, and the development and implementation of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Visual Merchandising Standards park-wide.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for all product placement, execution, and maintenance of in-store fixture layouts and creation of digital floor plans used by merchandise planners, buyers, and store operators that drive revenue and per cap while minimizing inventory shrink
  • Partners with stakeholders and manages the creation of all merchandising plans and coordinates the execution of visual merchandising floor sets, new product deliveries, and seasonal / annual product support, and shoulder events.
  • Uses exceptional business acumen to make merchandising decisions that successfully impact product placement and sell-thru rates while accounting for brand integrity.
  • Responsible for reviewing inventory levels and updating stakeholders; Create strategies that will increase business trends while ensuring inventory is stock balanced in the retail venues.
  • Responsible for the merchandising of multi-department program initiatives and category statement areas for all USH Retail Venues
  • Manages the visual merchandising calendar and ensures the VM department is kept up-to-date and on-task.
  • Creation and maintenance of all store planogram templates, sku-to-fixture spreadsheets, and wall bay configurations used by the merchandising team to determine merchandisable space and product layouts.
  • Works cross-functionally with other USH departments and partners with stakeholders on, including but not limited to special initiatives, product merchandising, marketing, product tests, and seasonal roll-outs.
  • Maintains and enforces the Visual Merchandising standards book.
  • Leads Park walks to discuss and address business opportunities and visual merchandising concerns.
  • Develops the merchandising team and trains the store management on merchandising presentation and visual standards.
  • Attends business meetings and informs the key stakeholders about the status of projects, product deliveries, and other pertinent merchandising information.
  • Provides information to and partner with the Visual Manager on current and future product deliveries for proper visual planning
  • Partners with the Visual Merchandising Director on department budget opportunities.
  • Quarterly benchmarks other retailers for the latest merchandising trends and display fixtures : Effectively communicates findings to VM Director and looks to implement best practices.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum 5 years of multi-store product merchandising; or equivalent combination of education and retail experience; Minimum 3 years of Retail Store Management
  • Experience supporting multiple stores in an assigned territory or area
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Adobe Creative Suite; In-design, Photoshop and Illustrator, a plus
  • Physically able to stock products, pick up boxes, move fixtures, stand for long periods, read / follow directions and have exceptional communication skills verbal and written
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and / or overnights with short notice

The Entertainment Production Designer is responsible for conceiving, defining, and developing the production design ( environment’, scenic, set dressing, props, etc) of assigned Entertainment projects of various scale, including marquee events, park theatrical entertainment, place making efforts, and special projects.

  • Cultivate and lead a culture that promotes a professional, collaborative, inspiring, fun and teamwork-driven work setting for all Team Members.

This position is responsible for supporting the Domestic Sales Market (OTA) with the promotion and selling of Universal Studios Hollywood tickets.

This position is responsible for implementation of the processes established by the Company management as the standards for the team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
