Serves as the initial contact person at a medical practice, responsible for assuring an excellent patient experience at the front desk and while in the reception area.
This role is principally responsible for all front desk and intake-related activities. Responsibilities include greeting and screening patients for potential emergency situations in a service oriented and professional manner, answering phones, monitoring the reception area for patient comfort and potential emergencies, registering patients and submitting charges.
Performs a wide variety of clerical office functions. Answers telephones, provides information and schedules appointments.
Greets and registers patients, completes forms, collects and enters patient demographic and billing information, prepares charts, reviews fee slips, maintains office filing system, updates electronic medical records as appropriate and collects payments in accordance with cash handling policies and procedures.
Assists in coordinating and optimizing patient flow.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Experience

Duties Include :
- Greet visitors, prospective candidates and other visitors
- Answer telephones and direct the caller to the appropriate associate
- Provide callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, website, and other related information
- Maintain and manages calendars for conference rooms
- Receive, sort and forward incoming mail
- Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies
- Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
Requirements :
- Prior front desk, administrative, and office experience!
- High School Diploma
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid computer skills
- A very positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Overview
Our receptionists greet all visitors entering the community, answer questions, ensure visitors sign guest sheets, and answer / direct phone calls to the proper residents and staff.
Our Receptionists sort, deliver and collect incoming / outgoing community and resident mail, and may be asked to do basic office / clerical functions, and maintain visitor logs.
You may also respond to resident emergencies by calling appropriate internal and external parties based on community protocol.

Accept deliveries, packages, certified and registered mail
Send out interoffice communications

Assist colleagues with tasks

Set up materials and food for training
Order and restock supplies
Maintains files, spreadsheets, employee and department directories
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
High school diploma or GED Prior experience as a receptionist or in related field
Google and Microsoft operating system platforms skills
