Duties may include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Checks in and directs visitors and the public to appropriate division and site personnel
  • Answers telephones, provides publicly available or authorized information, takes messages and directs callers to appropriate personnel using a multiline telephone system
  • Contacts office personnel regarding vendor delivery of materials and equipment
  • Identifies and reports safety and security risks to the appropriate personnel
  • Makes announcements on the public address system
  • Maintains and updates lobby materials and various lists and logs
  • Receives, opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail from school districts and LACOE divisions
  • Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with established policies and legal requirements
  • Formats and edits keyboarded material using standard computer hardware and software
  • Performs general clerical duties for a specific departmental function which may include, but not limited to, reporting and following up on the telephone repairs for a variety of work locations, distributing mileage and petty cash checks and notifying recipients, verifying employment by mail and on the telephone, and mailing out forms or other documents upon request
  • May direct other office support staff in handling of correspondence, deliveries, or requests received
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities :

Reception / Administrative Tasks

Successful Candidates Will Possess :

  • 1-3 years experience in an administrative or clerical role, ideally with Production experience.
