Under general supervision, to pick up and deliver materials, supplies, films, mail, or a variety of items or messages to various locations as assigned, and maintain and prepare related records and logs.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Delivery Driver is distinguished from the Mobile Classroom Driver in that the Mobile Classroom Driver operates a large Recreational Vehicle weighing within 10,000 and 26,001 lbs.
and requires a Class A or B driver's license while the Delivery Driver operates delivery vans weighing at or less than 26,000 pounds and requires a Class C license.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED General supervision is provided by a supervisor or manager. This classification has no lead or supervisory responsibilities.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Picks up and delivers various mail, films, supplies and equipment either on request or according to a prearranged schedule
- Moves heavy objects and material such as boxes of books, boxes of computer paper, and large cartons and packages of instructional materials and supplies to load and unload cargo
- Operates various types of motor vehicles including twin-axle bobtail truck
- Sorts and places mail in appropriate boxes and mail sacks of schools and offices
- Process online shipping requests and tracks packages
- Assists in moving and assembling furniture and other equipment, and packing materials for delivery
- Services and runs safety and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles
- Maintains a variety of records and logs related to mileage, mail transactions, and items delivered / received
- Performs related duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS Knowledge :
- Methods, practices, procedures and equipment used in the preparation, distribution, shipping and receiving of mail, supplies and materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience : Six months of experience performing duties involving the pick-up and delivery of materials and supplies according to tight timelines or schedules.

Additional Requirements / Information
Possession of a valid California driver's license and proof of insurability are required. On occasion, may be required to furnish private transportation for reimbursable job-related travel.
Positions in this classification may be required to lift and push objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
DEFINITION Under immediate supervision, provides a variety of support and liaison services in all aspects of multimedia production and assists production and operation staff as needed.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This class is distinguished from other production related classes in the following ways : the Product Assistant is an entry-level classification providing day-to-day production support operates various production equipment.
Incumbents in the Production Assistant Bilingual / Biliterate (Spanish) are expected to perform duties of a Production Assistant, utilizing English and Spanish oral and written skills.
The Multimedia Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating production resources and personnel. The Multimedia Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the LACOE studio and management of the production budget and staff.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Immediate supervision is provided by a manager or supervisor. This position has no supervisory or lead responsibilities.

- Acts as a liaison among authors, talent, production staff and clients in the development and the finalizing of program materials and scripts;
- Receives and formats script drafts for teleprompter
- Assists staff and management in researching new production equipment, stock photo and video clips, and location scouting
- Provides a variety of office support activities
- Maintains digital media library database
- Create labels and duplicates DVDs and CDs
- Prepares, loads, and operates various production equipment, such as camera lighting and audio equipment
- Transports production equipment to various sites
- Prepares production spaces for individual project needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience : One year of full-time experience working at the professional level as a Production Assistant or a related position working with various production equipment for a television, film, or multimedia production company.
Education : Graduation from high school or equivalent
Equivalency Provision : Two years of college (i.e. 60 college semester units or 90 college quarter units) with major coursework in English, script writing, video / television production, cinema, communication, media production or related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation may substitute for six months of the required experience.
Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Additional Requirements / Information : A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
Incumbents in this classification will be required to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds and push objects weighing up to 150 pounds.
Must be able to climb and work from ladders up to 20 feet in height.
