We are seeking a creative Marketing and Public Relations Intern to work alongside our team! You will be acting as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to.

You will be able to learn and apply your skills in real-world applications and gain experience through digital campaigns, content creation, and more.

The Marketing and Public Relations Intern is expected to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following :

Update internal and external marketing assets with the most accurate information (i.e., NRG Park website, static marquee board, social media platforms).

Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns.

Design and create visual content for our website and other digital channels.

Assist in print and broadcast trade for various events.

Assist in drafting media alerts, press releases, articles, and reports.

Assist in building marketing plans for concerts and events.

Assist with designing presentations and other visual aids for client meetings

Assist in producing and distributing email campaigns.

Attend various meetings pertaining to the department and upcoming events on the property.

Attend events to assist staff in the execution of marketing, media, or social media operations.

Oversee and monitor social media content on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Research marketing as is relevant to NRG Park’s marketing and public relations efforts.

Shadow various people within the company to learn all aspects of the company including but not limited to graphics, billing, content development, sports marketing, and sponsorships.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Previous public relations experience preferred.

Knowledge of social media platforms and experience with social media marketing are preferred.

Skills and Abilities

Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented and can efficiently multitask.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to adapt and learn quickly.

Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills

Basic Function

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the subject matter expert in the implementation of the organization's global employee relations program in a manner that ensures the fair, equitable, and consistent treatment of employees across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reviews assigned employee relations matters and applies learning and root-cause analyses to identify and recommend effective, sustainable and appropriate business solutions to ER problems.
  • Provide consultation to HRBP clients with their investigations and report writing.
  • Collaborates with business leaders, legal, compliance and the ELR / HR team, to design and implement positive employee relations strategic initiatives that support the organizational culture, and align with its mission, vision and values.
  • Analyzes data identified through external resources (i.e., benchmarking, current employee relations best practices), and internal sources (i.

e., HR Acuity, Ethics Point, HRMS, Employee Engagement Surveys, etc.) in order to identify trends and recommend new or enhanced process improvements to the ELR program or operations.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10 years' HR generalist experience, including at least 3+ years' experience in an employee relations or related position.
  • Prior experience supporting diverse client groups within complex organization and successfully interacting with business partners to influence, coach, and problem-solve.
  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships throughout all levels within a matrixed or complex organization.
  • Strong preference for experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing companies.
  • Extensive knowledge of state, federal and local employment and labor laws, and agency rules and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of workplace compliance investigations best practices, labor relations, union avoidance, employee advocacy, EEO compliance, and Affirmative Action planning and reporting.
