We are seeking a highly motivated Security Assurance Manager to join our evidence management team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our most security-conscious customers and internal security stakeholders. You will work alongside audit teams who are experts in their respective frameworks delivering evidence artifacts to demonstrate key risk objectives to strategically address compliance. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding AWS’ operational and technical control environment while using high-judgement to demonstrate and communicate control posture to customers and stakeholders globally.

The successful candidate will work across many customer groups and compliance frameworks (Cloud Control Matrix, NIST, ISO etc.) to design solutions for complex compliance challenges. This role can be located in Seattle, WA, Herndon or Arlington, VA or Washington, D.C.

Key job responsibilities
• Understand and serve as a subject-matter expert around AWS security controls
• Manage evidence lifecycle for supported global customer audits across US, APJ and EMEA regions
• Communicate to leadership key risks and areas of program improvement, as well as seek diverse opinions and coordinate improvement efforts.
• Dive deep into the AWS control environment to develop broad domain and technical understanding of AWS control activities and implementation to articulate compliance to key stakeholders.
• Bridge communication with key stakeholders and AWS technical communities to articulate control implementation.
• Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance program activities and recommend improvements to improve delivery at scale.
• Leading and managing projects and campaigns with excellent project management skills.
• Creating operational mechanisms to address recurring escalation patterns and persistent challenges
• Setting the vision and connecting the vision between technology, business strategies and requirements
• Communicating to senior leadership the status and key deliverables of team initiatives, seek diverse opinions and lead improvement efforts.
• Diving deep into the operations of AWS compliance programs to develop broad domain and technical understanding of regulatory and customer expectations to drive process improvement initiatives.
