We are actively looking to hire a full-time Project Engineer to join our engineering group in one of these three office locations.

While collaboration with staff from all offices is expected, we can prioritize your preferred location.

The role of the Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager involves significant responsibilities, including :

  • Playing a key role in the company's growth by identifying and developing new clients and projects.
  • Demonstrating strong project management skills, including developing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules during project planning.

It also includes delivering quality projects on time and within budget.

  • Independently coordinating staffing and workload throughout the entire project development process, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Tracking financial aspects of projects, and coordinating and adjusting work efforts with the team to ensure completion.
  • Demonstrating experience in municipal engineering, particularly in areas such as sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water system, and site civil design (grading, pavement, sidewalk, etc.).

To be considered for this position, the following qualifications are required :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with the requirement of obtaining a State of Washington PE license within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 12 years of demonstrated success working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong background in technical leadership, mentoring, and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated success in working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

The following qualifications would also be beneficial :

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and / or Revit (BIM) design software products.
  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Project management training, PMP certification, or similar technical design leadership.
  • Experience with wastewater process modeling software (BioWin).
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling products (Innovyze, Bentley, and / or Visual Hydraulics).
  • Involvement in professional societies and established clientele and professional relationships.

Requirements

Controls Project Manager : This is where you come in.

We’re looking for a Controls Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful completion of various levels of HVAC controls and energy-related projects.

They will perform, manage and confirm tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including : scoping of work, estimating, scheduling, project management, commissioning, performance verification, project closeout and successful owner acceptance.

The Controls Project Manager is responsible for the financial forecasting and delivered results inclusive of securing utility incentives of assigned projects.

They will manage communication with the entire project team, utility company representatives, and the customer during all phases of the assigned project as well as confirms the work direction provided to engineers, system technicians, balance technicians, electricians, administration assistants and subcontractors as necessary.

Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero :

  • Provides technical support for the sale of building controls, energy and commissioning projects inclusive of managing customer meetings, the development of riser diagrams for the use in presentations, scope of work development and pricing.
  • Reviews specifications, submittals and design documents to ensure that a complete scope of work is developed to minimize costly changes once execution of the project has commenced.
  • Performs and / or manages detailed estimating of the Building Performance Group (BPG) services.
  • Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or scheduling changes Communicates both technical and business related issues with the clients, MMFS project management and sales personnel

The Controls Project Manager role reports to Brian Kite / Director of Project Management on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business.

This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

  • A track record of delivering controls projects on time and on budget
  • Expertise providing technical support to all team members and working constructively with all personnel working on the project
