Responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to :

  • Confers with the inside and outside sales personnel to determine customer requirements on project orders
  • Provides the interface and liaison between project engineering and drafting, the production manager, and the customer
  • Works with project engineering and engineering management team to ensure that the project meets the technical requirements of the job specifications
  • Generate bill of materials for shop fabrication of process equipment skids and work closely with shop personnel throughout the entire project
  • Review fabrication drawings for accuracy and releases to shop when approved by customer
  • Works with the QA / QC Manager to develop quality plans for project orders
  • Specifies and orders equipment
  • Responsible for setting and meeting project milestones and maintaining progress payment schedules
  • Coordinates and approves documentation for project orders
  • Works within a budget to maximize profitability of the job
  • Attend project kick off meetings and weekly / monthly status meetings as required

Qualifications of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to :

  • Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience with rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, blowers) and fabricated pumping systems

What is the job about?

  • Develop, manage and maintain the project life cycle from order execution through production to completion in accordance with department objectives.

At MCRT a Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction of high density, multi-family residential and mixed use projects.

The position reports to the Vice President and President of Construction. This position requires providing leadership to the project teams in order to meet or exceed project goals related to the design, construction and quality of the project.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining working professional relationships with the project design team, company field and office personnel, subcontractors, vendors and governmental agencies overseeing the project.

Skills / Specialized Knowledge
