What would you be doing?
Contract Management & Resource Planning
- Work with the Superintendents to expedite and coordinate site resources needed to effectively implement the work, including sub-contractors, materials, construction equipment and labour.
- Proactively involved in setting client expectations from the Executive level to entry-level staff.
- Professional and timely communication with partners and vendor suppliers that inspires everyone on the project to want to exceed your expectations.
- Will provide direction to Flint Superintendent, General Foreperson, Foreperson and direct field labour.
- Work with clients through change management practices to remain contractually aligned and within scope.
- Interpret requests for proposals and prepare bid packages.
Forecasting & Reporting
- Responsible for workforce planning, including developing all work scopes, shift schedules, and fieldwork packages to implement and control all work to a safe and efficient completion.
- Develop and analyze reports to be delivered both internally and externally.
- Analyze project / operational financial data and implement performance action plans to improve operating results.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all field activities under the span of control meet or exceed safety, quality, schedule, and cost through efficiently using all resources, including staffing, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is appropriately implemented at the foreperson level.
- Inspire a culture that supports by example, where your actions and words align with FLINT’s core values.

- Multiple years of experience managing brownfield / greenfield construction, pipeline, facility shutdowns and projects.
- Past construction project experience managing multiple projects ranging from $2-10 million while using over 25-300 craft personnel and numerous contractors.

- Utilize software systems for estimating, scheduling and project management.
- Technical ability in the mechanical / piping sector, including shutdown / turnaround implementation, operations coordination, equipment management, cost estimating and bid development.
- Journeyperson Trade certification in a mechanical field or related post-secondary degree would be an asset.
- An understanding of human resources and HSE standards.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $145,666.00 to $199,430.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Biology Project Manager Duties :
The Biology Project Manager responsibilities include managing biological resources-related projects, leading biological technical report preparation in accordance with agency requirements, and serving as biological resources lead during environmental review of projects by the appropriate jurisdictions and agencies.
The position also will include resource agency consultation and permitting, client coordination, and preparation of proposals and related business development activities.
The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills because critical aspects of this position include developing solutions for project challenges, forging strong, collaborative relationships, and building consensus among team members, clients, and agencies (please give some examples in cover letter).
The Biology Project Manager may be required to conduct biological fieldwork on occasion; however, primary responsibilities are not fieldwork related.

This position will be responsible for the overall management of multiple projects in our Healthcare, Education, Public Works and / or Transportation Practice Areas.
