Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with common acute and chronic conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in conjunction with the supervising physician for Surgical patients.

As a member of the healthcare team serving all three Pennsylvania Prime Healthcare Services hospitals and providing patient care to Surgical patients, the PA performs comprehensive assessments, History and Physicals, evaluations and follow up care during the patients’ acute care encounter.

The position requires excellent clinical (lab draws, injections, etc.), professional, communication and interpersonal skills along with supervision and leadership.

Effectively interacts with colleagues, patients, families, and other staff, while maintaining standards of professional services, medical care, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid Pennsylvania State License as a Physician Assistant

2. Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program

3. Certification, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

4. Previous experience as a Physician Assistant with primary focus on care, treatment and intervention with / for Surgical patient populations preferred

5. Current BLS / ACLS / PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

6. Bilingual preferred; but not required

Signify Health is hiring board-certified physician assistant / physician associate (PA) contractors to conduct In-home Health Evaluations for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and certain commercial plan members.

With our new earning incentives, you can qualify for our standard 0 per completed assessment - and more!

  • Earn $1800 to $3000 each week (Average 6-9 visits daily)
  • Increase your per-visit rate up to 200% with our Market Multiplier
  • Starting July 1 : Introducing a pay-per-test model (for visits where the patient qualifies to receive additional diagnostic and preventive tests)
