The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key hourly associate position within Amazon Operations. The LPS leads the effort to efficiently and effectively oversee security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) protection in a designated building. The LPS reports to the Loss Prevention responsible for their facility, and aids them in supporting the Operational team, and the cross functional teams throughout the organization. The position is site based.

Key job responsibilities
· Lead, conduct, and deliver results regarding investigations of Theft, Fraud, and Workplace Violence/Critical Incidents
· Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to Workplace Violence, Theft, Fraud, Critical Incidents, and Process Improvement
· Deliver results through policy Guidance, Education, and Mitigation strategies to help meet business demands
· Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies and the department’s performance
· Analyze data, conducts audits and identify trends to create actionable plans to mitigate risk
· Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the work place
· Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives
· Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices by engaging and resolving issues with internal and external partners
· Accurately communicate verbally and in written form to a broad customer base
· Train and orient new Associates in LP culture
· Develop projects while continuously improving physical security, processes, standards, training, and policies for future growth
· Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to data center access controls, inventory control and record keeping
· Promote and execute security best practices
· Audit physical security infrastructure (i.e. intrusion detection, access control, cameras) and ensuring functionally of all systems
· Work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary
· Work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and ability to lift up to 20 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

One focus area of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to serve as a designated representative for their assigned building coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Program as directed by the leadership. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team. In this position, you will serve as the site’s designated first aid provider in the warehouse, coordinating and implementing the Amazon Global Program. The WHS Manager will be responsible for partnering with an Operations Team at the site level to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local, regional and federal regulations. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates. The Site WHS Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and WHS data analysis.

The Site WHS Manager will be responsible to lead and develop a team of WHS professionals. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for their teams. They must communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback, and ensure the team is executing to the core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.
- Measure site’s performance against published requirements in WHS policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. Drive accountability for the plan
- Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the WHS risk is highest.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliant equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other sites. Review all changes to ensure new equipment and process are compliant.
- Audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance to global WHS standards and regulations.
- Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent
- Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required WHS training.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts which could include day, nights, and weekends.
