- Stack Batteries onto the conveyor line to begin battery forming process.
- Remove and attach jumpers and aside, slide battery from layer board onto conveyor, aside hi-rise lumber or pallets, maintains efficient production flow, stack off obvious rejects, remove process vents, top off according to specification, perform process and quality checks as specified, replace process vents with finish vents, as needed.
- Polish terminals using appropriate hand or wire brush and remove residue from cover. Operate manual hirater or bitrode and / or OCV meter to test quality.
Shrink-wrap batteries as required. Use hand brander as needed.
- Decorate batteries according to customer requirements. Able to retrieve specs from computer terminal. Maintains adequate decoration stock on line.
- Stack off rejects to pallet. Palletize batteries to customer requirements utilizing SAP BES procedures and equipment, maintaining accurate production counts and filling customer orders as complete as possible.
- Participates in developing and improving Standard Work Practices for each area and consistently reviews them for effectiveness through team meetings and practice.
- Service equipment washer and dryer as necessary. Clean or wipe batteries as needed. Repair posts on batteries as needed.
- Keep work area clean and orderly, clean machines and area per shift and perform regular preventative maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- High School diploma or GED
- Ideal candidate would have previous manufacturing experience. Working Conditions :
- 100% of time spent on production floor where there is exposure to lead and warm temperatures.

- Mixes and matches paints; cleans and maintains all paint equipent and worker areas.
- Moves product on rollers or forklift; lifts and vmoves product in and out of paint booths;
- Sands and preps all products to be painted; logs in and out jobs into software; keeps accurate inventory of paints.
- Prioritize and plan work activities;
- Use time efficiently;
- Follow proper painting procedures.
Qualifications for the position : Applicants should have background in signage or automotive painting (or equivalent).

Key responsibilities for this role include :
Supervises assigned shift in a manner that consistently meets or exceeds the production schedule while maintaining product quality and consistency.
Directs a proactive training program that develops subordinate technical, leadership, and team skills to ensure that the department can continually support the growing needs of the business with a highly trained work force.
Supervises shift in a manner which ensures that all employees are trained, understand expectations, and demonstrate compliance with all DPT safety procedures and general safety awareness in their day-to-day work habits

Participates or leads internal and cross-functional teams to support the successful launch of internal programs as well as new product launches.
Establishes rapport and serves as a liaison for both internal and external customers to ensure that needs are met.
Interprets company policies for staff members and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to staff members, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends, implements, and approves measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational / departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

The minimum qualifications for this role are :
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of industry related experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience within minimum 5-7 years of related manufacturing industry experience.
Engineering degree (Mechanical or Industrial) or Chemistry degree preferred.

Lucifer Lighting has an opportunity for a driven, solutions-oriented, and lean centric Manufacturing Engineer . The Manufacturing Engineer will work to support operations through the development of standard work procedures, the design of fixtures and jigs, and driving productivity improvements using data analysis and lean principals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Works with design engineers in implementing new product designs into production.
- Leads pilot builds, PFMEA, and all manufacturing assembly related tasks including establishing build procedures and run rates for new product introduction.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in a low volume / custom assembly environment.
- Designs and specifies fixtures, tools and testers needed to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods.
- Generates Engineering Change Requests, procedures, and assembly instructions.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Strong understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools (PDCA, DMAIC, DMADV, A3, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, SIPOC, Kaizen, 5 Whys)
- Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing Concepts including the 8 wastes,
- Understanding of work measurement techniques such as MOST, time study and motion, Standard Time Data, Work Sampling, etc.
- Lean and Six Sigma Training
- Analyze and optimize workflow of resources associated with production processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff from hourly workers to company executives.
- Experience using Solid Works, Infor, Salesforce software packages.
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical / Mechatronics engineering from an accredited college.
- Two (2+) plus years of manufacturing engineering experience in assembly operations.
Preferred Education and Experience :
- Five years or more experience working for a manufacturer in a lean centric role
- Experience with New Product Introduction
- Lean / Six Sigma manufacturing certification
