As a Test Engineer I, you’ll be part of our Engineering team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to :
- This position will be responsible for the development and technical support of all testing activities.
- Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified components / products.
- Analyzes and communicates product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine proper test methods that will meet / exceed the customer's expectations.
- Prepares or directs preparation of product or testing layout with detailed test plans.
- Plans and develops experimental test programs through analytical assessments with product engineering.
- Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Develops reporting tools and statistical analysis techniques to communicate testing results to inter-departmental stakeholders.
- Leads the design, development and implementation of test fixtures and equipment.

- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
- 3-5 years mechanical test experience
- Experience using control programs such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, Python or C++
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as UL, USEPA, CARB, CSA, CE.
- Ability to develop test fixtures based on defined test requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and product lifecycle management programs such as Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling programs such as Solidworks, Solid Edge or NX / UG

Role
Splunk is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer to join our presales team, within our Manufacturing Vertical (West Coast) .

Responsibilities :
- Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
- Partner with the regional sales team to develop strategic and technical account and territory plans.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle not only with our customer's technical staff.
- Self-motivated with a consistent record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
- Ability to be organized and analytical and must be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
- Answer complex technical and competitive questions plus address customer concerns to a successful outcome.
- You should have experience with discovering pain and determining value with customers.
Requirements :
- 7+ years related experience in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of each target client’s business, operations and industry patterns, including understanding the strategic business and technology goals.
- Understand how Splunk’s solutions can provide capabilities and benefits in order to address our customers' needs
- Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures.
- Familiarity with observability tools and experience working with containers or microservices on the AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure platforms where you are certified or eager to become certified.
- Familiarity with customers and use-cases in the manufacturing or supply chain industries.
- Willing to travel to visit prospects and customers, and to engage in onsite customer work when required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Laying out, laying up, and fabricating composite parts, assembling, disassembling, installing, modifying, and inspecting complex and precision electronic, optical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical, mechanical production assemblies, prepare surfaces, applies coating and performs coating-related processes.
- Performs electrical and mechanical in process checks, analysis, and rework of complex and precision parts and assemblies, making wiring, continuity, and component checks that utilize the knowledge of electronic theory and circuit analysis.
- Prepares, fabricates, bonds, and assembles various composite parts.
- Utilizes various fabrication technologies.
- May be required to manufacture and assemble developmental and engineering prototype hardware (when necessary).
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates, all types of complex assembly machines and equipment, micro equipment as required in assembly, fabrication, test, and inspection of micro electronic circuit assemblies.
