Club Janitorial Attendant
JOB SUMMARY
The Club Attendant will drive member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service through performing a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facility in a healthy, clean and orderly standard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES Estimated % of Time Spent
Cleans and dusts walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floor of all areas of club, including locker rooms, weight area, cardio, office space, hallways, stairs, etc.
Cleans and dusts all weight and cardio equipment
Restocks supplies
Empties clubs' garbage and recycling containers
Completes daily and weekly scope of work as assigned
Performs special cleaning projects as assigned
Cleans and maintains wet areas of the club, if applicable (cleaning pool deck, vacuuming pool, cleaning steam room and sauna and conducting regular pool chemical testing).
Not all clubs have wet areas
Performs minor cosmetic repair on equipment (rust removal, touch up paint, re-labeling, etc.)
Partners with Facility Technician to perform cleaning duties on equipment as outlined in preventative maintenance guide
Performs minor painting as approved / directed by General Manager and Facilities Technician
Use all janitorial supplies in accordance to product labels and club manuals
Report all newly identified facility maintenance issues via Service Channel
Report any member complaints to the General Manager

Primary Responsibility / Summary
Provide instruction in general janitorial procedures and supervision to janitorial participant trainees. Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility;
buildings, grounds, bathrooms, meeting rooms, furniture, and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides orientation and train janitorial participants using approved curriculum and hands on methodology.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of all work done by the trainee crew and inspects work completed by the trainees.
- Oversees scheduling and routine sanitation of furniture, equipment, facilities, and bathrooms.
- Coordinates cleaning projects and assignments with WCD management and the Facilities Department.
- Observes participant performance and behavior. Communicates progress with assigned case manager. Documents incidents involving participant safety and well-being.
- Provides documented hazardous substance communications and safety training.
- Completes relevant program paperwork and reports paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;
planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
This position requires some local travel (less than 25% of the time), a valid CA driver's license and state-required auto insurance are necessary.

Education & Experience
- Min. 3 years of janitorial experience, within it a minimum of 2 years janitorial supervisory experience with demonstrated great patience and training abilities.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual fluency (e.g., English / ASL, English / Spanish, etc.) and ability understand another culture as required by the program or local community highly desired.
- Knowledgeable in industrial standards and safety (CAL-OSHA) requirements.
