Commercial Housekeeper
Snelling Staffing is seeking temporary Commercial Housekeepers ($15.00 / hr) on an as-needed basis for a prestigious medical clinic near San Pedro and Isom Rd in San Antonio, TX.
The ideal candidates would be available to cover when the main employee is out on PTO, usually just one day at a time. This opportunity is perfect for those who are looking to supplement their income with a side job or for those needing flexibility.
Typical Shifts could be any day Monday-Thursday 8am to 2-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm
Pay : $15 / hr paid weekly via direct deposit or pay card
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Dusting furniture in patient traffic areas
- Washing, drying, folding, and restocking linen towels, as needed
- Sanitizing / wiping down lobby furniture, as needed
- Picking up and discarding used medical gowns from changing rooms
- Sweeping and light wet & dry mopping
- Cleaning the restrooms, as needed
- Taking all trash to the dumpster at the end of the shift
REQUIREMENTS :
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial setting (preferred)
- Must be communicative and reliable

In addition to cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and communal spaces, housekeepers may also be required to change bedding, do laundry, and keep inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
What You'll Do
Clean and Organize
- Keep our facilities spotlessly clean and well kept
- Clean residents' rooms and shared areas
- Respond with urgency upon requests
- Dispose of waste
- Execute laundry service and daily changing of residents' beds, including ironing and pressing as needed
Maintain
- Inspect residents' rooms and communal areas to ensure they are tidy
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Reset areas after use, keeping safety and sanitation as a motivating factor in your work
What You'll Bring
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-year experience as a housekeeper or within a similar cleaning environment
- Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods, including cleaning of sensitive or potentially hazardous materials
Initiative
- Proven ability to take initiative with tasks, especially with safety and sanitation
- Compassion and caring nature, showing a strong desire to provide comfort to guests / residents

Housekeeper Responsibilities :
- Performs cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices.
- Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways; spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners.
Rotates runners in hallways and entryways.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes both lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities; stocks dispensers as necessary.
- Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
- Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
- Collects trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas.
- Responsible for collecting, cleaning and redistributing the community laundry.
- Responsible for maintaining the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
- Ensures cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use.
- Ensures any cords, carts, equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
- Reports any needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
- Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Team Member is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit.
- Team Member must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
