Purpose / Summary :
This role will be the primary representation of the service and overall hospitality of the restaurant. Responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner and make sure all patrons are comfortable and kept informed of their status as requested.
Will monitor the workflow of the restaurant and seat customers accordingly based on customers’ needs and wishes.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables
- Record customer names and number of customers in the party, keep track of the waiting list, update customers of wait time as requested
- Greet all customers coming into the restaurant with a smile
- Answer customer inquiries and concerns politely and professionally. Always maintain courteous attitude when encountering impatient customers
- Escort patrons to the dining room, seat them at their table, and hand them menus
- Accommodate special requests from customers
- Communicate with supervisor / manager about special situations occurring in the dining area or waiting area
- Maintain personal health and sanitation standards
- Must be knowledgeable of all safety codes per BP's guidelines
- Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct
Minimum Qualifications :
- 1 year of food retail experience in a fast paced environment, specifically as a hostess
- Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Able to multitask and work in a team environment
- Bilingual Chinese preferred, but not required
- Must be able to work flexible schedules
- High School Diploma preferred
- All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process
Physical demands :
- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to bend and lift frequently
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs occasionally on an as-needed basis
- Ability to squat occasionally
Work environment :
- Work will be conducted in a kitchen and restaurant environment
- May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment
- May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces

Role Purpose
To present a positive first impression of the concept friendliness, excellent service and high standards. To greet Guests upon arrival, ensure Guest dining experience is excellent and to bid Guests farewell as they leave.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly
- Seat Guests in the bar or dining area and ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
- Promptly answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.

POSITION SUMMARY
A Host / Hostess presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service, and high standards.
The Host / Hostess also greet Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter Guest names into the computer system, show Guests to their table and bid Guests farewell as they leave.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet patrons, and if needed, confirm reservations, take reservations, and track occupancy chart for space
- Answers phone calls and gives basic information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services
- Keep track of the waiting list and open tables
- Assign tables to guests depending on party size, waiter / waitress availability
- Accurately quote wait times to patrons
- Alert and call guests to host stand when the table is bussed and cleaned
- Escort guests to table and present food and drink menus
- Answer patron questions regarding menu items; recommend or suggest items as needed
- Takes patrons' drink orders
- Observe and assists in preparing unoccupied tables for customers by wiping surface top, removing debris, and ensure seats are clean
- Assist with waitstaff side work and opening and closing duties
- Take orders over the phone and pack prepared take-out orders
Healthy and Safety
- Ensure that all potential and real Hazards are reported immediately and rectified
- Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures
- Ensure that all emergency procedures are rehearsed, implemented, and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
- Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by fairly applying Hotel Regulations by strict adherence to existing laws, statutes etc.

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing Host to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting customers as they enter the restaurant, seating them at tables, and providing general customer service.
This position requires excellent communication skills, an ability to multitask, and a friendly attitude. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a customer service role and be able to handle a fast-paced environment with ease.
This is a Friday - Sunday position at the moment.
