Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the culinary laboratory classrooms, main and preparation rooms, and the organic garden.
  • Manage the inventory of all instructional materials, including food, beverage, cooking ingredients, cleaning and restaurant supplies, and kitchen and restaurant wares to ensure that all courses have the necessary supplies and items.
  • Maintain laboratory and / or storeroom in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Prepare instructional materials and equipment for instructors’ demonstrations and student laboratories classes.
  • Prepare and monitor the Culinary laboratory budgets, including trust and fiduciary funds, and daily POS deposits.
  • Manage relationships with program vendors to ensure timely and accurate ordering, delivery and payment.
  • Assist instructors, staff and students in the proper use of equipment.
  • Assist in the Front of the House Operations during meal periods and special events, including but not limited to 72Fifty breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and events provided by catering.
  • Test, adjust and maintain equipment in the Culinary lab.
  • Monitor and work closely with facilities and outside vendors to maintain the integrity of all culinary spaces.
