Completes training and operational duties at assigned NHG lodging operations to include Navy Gateway Inns & Suites and Navy Lodges.

  • Learn all aspects of hospitality operations by job shadowing and hands-on training in all departments and positions.
  • Complete tasks by learning and utilizing systems, tools, and software that apply.
  • Prepares and submits periodic MIT progress reports to the Training Manager.
  • Serves as the Manager on Duty as assigned.
  • Conducts inspections of guest rooms, common areas, work areas, and storage areas to ensure NHG standards are met. Identifies deficiencies and implements appropriate corrective measures.

Follows up to ensure deficiencies are corrected

  • Responsible for implementing NHG policies and procedures as established.
  • Provides adequate staffing for all areas of responsibilities. Evaluates the work performance of subordinate personnel.

Reports deficiencies or concerns to the General Manager.

  • Works with department supervisors to plan, conduct and record required training.
  • Assists subordinates in resolving job-related issues and personnel problems.
  • Communicates with and motivates associates.
  • Reviews and evaluates various operating reports and statistical data to complete required management reports.
  • Assists the General Manager in gathering and evaluating data to prepare and administer the annual operating budget in conjunction with NHG.
  • May represent the General Manager in meetings with or in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Maintains liaison with NEXCOM and other activities, vendors, and suppliers to ensure adequate levels of services and supplies.
  • Monitors guest satisfaction and resolves guest complaints.
  • Ensures proper control of operational records and files. Ensures compliance with all safety, fire, and sanitation regulations for the safety of guests and associates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Relocation based on company needs will be necessary at the completion of the MIT program.

A two or four-year bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Hotel / Motel Management or Business Administration.

A minimum of one year experience working in a supervisory or management position in a Hotel, Motel, or similar facilities (such as residential, resort, Airbnb, timeshare, vacation rental, serviced apartments, etc.)

Equivalent combination of education and experience that provided professional Hotel / Motel Management knowledge.

Current or Former Federal Government Retail management experience may be considered in lieu of hospitality experience.

POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

This position has the responsibility for developing new business opportunities with prospects outside of our current customer base, that are competitively held and or new restaurant concepts.

This requires calling on clients in teh field on a regular (daily) basis. Develops a sales strategy to win business that is managed, tracked and reported in , demonstrating sales activities to achieve sales goals.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the sales process through the order booking , transferring account ownership to the Account Executive for project management and implementation services.

Key Areas of Responsibility include :

  • Grow market share through # of new restaurant sites with NCR Solutions & Payments
  • Develop ROI-based solution sales plans that leverage strategic Account Planning skills
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to map out key decision-makers in the prospect and create a strategy to implement an appropriate plan to penetrate
  • Develop a competitive sales opportunity strategy
  • Be in the field on a daily basis to visit clients and prospects.
  • Capitalize on a foundation of internal and external industry networks to uncover business opportunities and develop a business solution that demonstrates NCR's value and its impact on the prospective customer.
  • Sales Process / Activity Management : Strategically designs a plan to effectively manage territory in order to maximize incoming orders as necessary to meet annual quota objectives.
  • Input forecasting and account activity in Salesforce to quantify and qualify opportunities where NCR is best positioned to win, and assists in development of an account plan to ensure mutual objectives of the NCR / Customer relationship are realized.
  • Gain customer commitment, builds momentum and accelerates the sales cycle, while working with key influencers throughout the sales process to minimize issues at closing.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and execute to winning those opportunities
  • Upon securing official order comment from customer, works with account executive to transition account control responsibility, including solution delivery

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS / BA in related discipline and / or equivalent sales experience with 3+ years of experience in Restaurant Technology Sales / Business Development
  • Must live in the local sales territory (Sacramento) as you will be in the field on a daily basis to visit clients and prospects
  • Hunger to Win / Hate to Lose sales mentality; strong "hunter" drive.
  • Previous successful consulting and / or solution sales environment and / or client management in the restaurant segment
  • Demonstrated success in presenting and articulating the value of technology solutions
  • In-depth experience and understanding of the hospitality / restaurant market, industry trends and related competition
  • Ability to travel to customer sites on day trips within the sales territory (Sacramento)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working in Hospitality / Restaurant Solution sales
  • Previous experience with software and services organizations that sell Point-of-Sale, Payment Applications, Above Store, Kitchen Production and Marketing Programs.
  • Strong executive presence this role will have extensive executive visibility both internally and externally
