Air Carrier Split Duty position
CAE is seeking experienced Flight Qualified Instructor Pilots that thrive on coaching others, values CRM, and enjoys working with a diverse team.

Minimum Qualifications?
- Must be authorized to live / work in the United States
- An unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating
- First Class medical
- FAR Part 135 experience and 3,500 hours of total flight time preferred
- 200 hours in type preferred
- Comply with all FAA regulations, company operations manual, operations specifications, standard operating procedures and company policies and procedures.
- Unrestricted ability to fly to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries
- Basic computer proficiency Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs
- Must be able and willing to participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program
- Must be authorized to live / work in the United States
Line Pilot
One third of your schedule acting as Part 135 Line Pilot; compliance with all the policies / procedures, duties / responsibilities of the Air Carrier.
Instructor Pilot
Two thirds of your schedule will be carrying out the duties of an Instructor Pilot; responsible for the delivery of flight training in a flight simulator and ground school in accordance with the appropriate regulatory agency, CAE approved curriculum, and customer requirements.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) ready to lead client(s) through their training. After 1.5+ years, per business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
- Provides simulator / flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types as assigned for the issue of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Responsible for conducting pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner in accordance with CAE standards
- Other required administrative duties (completes training records, recommends remedial training, when necessary, track his / her own instructional qualifications and activity, etc.)
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in creation of curricula and courseware when required

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the internally developed Mission Design Toolset (MDT)
- Create 6DOF attitude mission timelines from 3DOF trajectories, payload requirements, and other constraints
- Run, modify, create scripts and source code to assess vehicle change impacts among various subsystems for IM's current and future lunar missions
- Interface with all subsystems to improve processes, gather inputs, and provide output
- Present results to control boards, participate in high level design and analysis discussions
A candidate for this position will be encouraged to take on as much responsibility as practical and will be expected to play a role in the full analysis process, including conceptualization, requirements & procedures, code development, testing, documentation and presentation of results, and on-console mission operations support.
