  • Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with GaaP, and monitor the use of all funds.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for funding organizations and Company’s Board of Directors as well as potential Investors;

prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
  • Oversee and administer company stock option plan.
  • Partner with Human Resources to evaluate and oversee all benefits negotiations, thus providing the most competitive packages for Company’s employees.
  • Review all formal finance and IT-related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward.
  • Coordinate audit activities with the external financial auditors, Company’s grantors / funders as well as worker’s compensation and other federal, state and local audits.
  • Work with corporate legal to ensure compliance and codify all Board and committee decisions.

Team Management and Supervisory Responsibility

  • Develop and manage direct staff, to include team members in finance and accounting; guide larger multi-disciplinary teams outside of direct span of control.
  • Engage other members of the senior management team to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial and IT solutions positively support Company’s evolving strategy, operational delivery, and data needs.
  • This position is responsible for the direct supervision of Company’s finance and accounting staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a VP of Finance or similar role
  • A minimum of a BS and CPA / CMA; an MBA would be a plus, 10 years of broad finance experience in SaaS companies
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices for SaaS businesses
  • Strong proven track record of creating, maintaining, and delivering SaaS metrics to the Board of Directors and internal stakeholders in an Enterprise B2B SaaS environment
  • Possesses critical knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
  • Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • B.S. or B.A. in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent Experience. MBA / CPA a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant Accounting or Finance. Manufacturing cost accounting experience is required.
  • Thorough understanding of standards under U.S. GAAP
  • Demonstrated ability of leading multiple cross-functional projects
  • Proficiency using Excel to summarize and analyze data including use of pivot tables
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Position requires high attention to detail and a desire for continuous improvement
  • Individual will be self-motivated and has experience working with multiple teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

SALARY :

The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $132,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
