Our client, a hybrid investment firm based in San Francisco, is looking for a VP of Finance to join their team. They are currently at $5B AUM and have brought on a new finance leadership team that is building out new processes and automation.
They are focused on creating diverse portfolios built to spot emerging trends early and to deliver optimal venture returns.
The role will report directly into their CFO and will have a hybrid schedule that requires them to work in the office 2 days per week.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all accounting and assist the CFO with all finance responsibilities.
- Bring leadership to the high-performing team of managers and provide them coaching / mentorship to develop their careers.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $250,000-$300,000.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.

- Evaluating areas of growth and investment for Plaid by assessing total addressable market, revenue opportunities, unit economics, and investment costs
- Collaborating with business leaders to provide analytical support and frameworks to optimize decision making
- Maintaining Plaid's revenue model and developing analytical models used to guide thepany's growth trajectory
- Optimizing financial KPIs and building financial metrics dashboard to update the Executive team and improve internalmunication and transparency

Qualifications

Target base salary for this role is $133,200 and $199,800 per year. Additionalpensation in the form(s) of equity and / ormission are dependent on the position offered.

Job Purpose
In this unique role traversing development, analysis, project finance and valuation activities, this person will be directly contributing to transitioning the world to renewable energy.
This position is primarily responsible for structuring transactions, due diligence support, financial analysis and modeling.
Work duties include research, data analysis, valuation and risk assessment across a broad range of energy finance and M&A transactions, primarily in wind, solar and transmission.
This role often collaborates with team members cross functionally in areas such as development, construction, origination, asset management, legal, and corporate finance.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop financial models and analysis for renewable energy projects.
- Lead structured finance product development, including developing structural solutions for tax equity investments.
- Develop and deliver internal / external investment presentations and briefs.
- Identify and quantify key investment drivers and perform sensitivities.
- Drive development activities and asset due diligence efforts, driving internal consideration of project value and risk.
- Perform general research duties and statistical analysis.
- Analyse market risk factors, pricing and risk management products, including hedges.
- Support treasury and capital planning functions.
- Participate in meetings with internal / external clients.
- Respond to information requests from financial institutions and be the contact person for lenders and tax equity investors, including responding to requests for additional analysis.

Qualifications

- Advanced degree and / or CFA certification is optional.
- Project Finance acquisition, management or transaction experience preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modelling techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork and independent work ethic are essential.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
