JOB SUMMARY :

Tram Driver provides transportation for Parkwest Bicycle Casino employees and patrons by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provides continuous tram service to patrons in the South parking lot area.
  • Maintains open communication with the Security department and informs Lieutenant of services needed for the bus and / or "electric trams", such as gas, oil, water, batteries, battery chargers and maintenance.
  • Keeps the Security Dispatcher supervisors aware of any suspicious activity occurring on casino property while on or off shuttle.
  • Ensures that all driven vehicles are in proper condition prior to the beginning, throughout and, at the end of shift. This includes any damage or irregularities with the vehicle.
  • Observes all laws, regulations and safety rules involving operating a motor vehicle.
  • Must be available on call and to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must be available to work all shifts as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees and all levels of supervision.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) : or one to three months' related experience and / or training. Possession of valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Transports, loads and unloads product, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Ensures the safe loading and unloading of product, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.

e. wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)

  • Helps product to load and unload merchandise as needed
  • Inspects vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; performs routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities
  • Meets patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots.
  • Inspects shuttle for preexisting damage record information using electronic device or manual ticket.
  • Provides excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, give directions to nearest highway, destination, etc.
  • Directs traffic, position barricades, and arrange for towing service when necessary.
  • Maintains and enforces bus evacuation plan and coordinates bus evacuation activities as appropriate
  • Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Refuels and maintains shuttle equipment and maintains assigned fuel use logs
  • Always maintains a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use
  • Maintains safe driver designation and applicable physical and dexterity standards
  • Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards

  • Drive Sales Associate between appointments and coordinate efficient pickups and drop offs with Sales Associate. Remain in close proximity to pick up locations and be hyper responsive.
  • Sales routes typically last 8 hours and idle time between pickups and drop offs can vary.
  • Routes will be determined by Thursday of each week and you will have the option of what route days to commit to. Route confirmation needed by end of day the Friday before the week of routes.
  • The Sales Associate will be conducting work on a computer in the car and we ask that drivers maintain clean vehicles and peaceful driving operation along with music / radio at a volume that is not deemed as distracting by the Sales Associate.
