Our centrally located client in Houston is seeking a reliable Dispatcher to join their growing team. This is a pertinent role as you deal with emergency related calls that are extremely time sensitive.
Multi-tasking is of major significance while performing this job which includes taking a high level of phone calls, entering data, and maintaining records.
Other responsibilities include :
- Record and transmit significant information.
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information.
- Receive and dispatch units as necessary.
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
- Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations.
- Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
- Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.
Prior call center or logistics experience is required, at least 1-3 years. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential to this role, as well as the ability to multitask under stressful situations, remain organized, and prioritize.
You will also need to be able to recall details from numerous informational resources.

Fueling Dispatcher
Works Directly with load planning, Operations Supervisors, and Lead Fuelers to dispatch fuel loads and discrepancies for all main Airline fueling operations and all other support related activities.
Pay rate : $16.50 / hr + double time on holidays + overtime available

We are looking for a Dispatcher who will schedule technician appointments at customer sites and facilitates communication between technicians, customers, and the company as well as assist in fleet and safety management.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain the service technician schedules and dispatch technicians as service calls are completed.
- Schedule technician’s return trips with customers to complete jobs after arrival of parts.
- Maintain on call schedule for service technician and after-hours service procedures.
- Enter service calls, schedule calls, and generates call debriefing with technicians daily.
- Maintain customer database, ensuring complete, accurate, and updated entry of information.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding company schedule, requested lead times, equipment services, invoicing, and general inquiries.

- This position may require to work outside of normal business hours when required, including some holidays and maybe weekends
- Knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations

Job Summary
Communicates back and forth with Drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial and roll-off lines of business.
Handles incoming service orders, directs drivers, and resolves service issues.
- Interacts with customers that includes customer service, sales, and operational staff (i.e. Route Managers, Mechanics etc.).
- Uses proprietary software to enter ticket information and track activity.
- Shifts vary with the potential for overtime and Saturday hours depending particular site needs.
- Some initial travel (up to 15%) may be required to assist with centralization efforts. II.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned
- Dispatches drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers' locations and loads, and daily factors to balance cost and speed of response.
- Works with routing specialists, route managers, and the service department to optimize routes
- Assists in determining daily level of driver staffing to provide best mix of responsiveness and productivity
- Assigns routes and service tickets to appropriate Drivers throughout the day and for the next day; close service tickets each day
- Handles fields incoming calls and e-mails from customer service and sales department; manages requests for pick-up or container delivery and ensuring same-day service
- Initiates outbound calls to customers while drivers are on-site / location, resolving pick-up and other issues
- Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they result in service issues
- Ensures same-day service on missed pick-ups by coordinating Driver movement in the field
- Records and documents information from Drivers and distributes to appropriate departments
- Communicates with maintenance shop personnel and serves as an emergency point of contact for down wires and other issues III.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.
Education and Experience Required :
High school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of 6 months of related work experience Additional or specialized training in transportation, logistics, or similar area of study;
customer service experience in a call-center environment
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required :
- Computer skills with ability to handle multiple programs and systems
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via e-mail, telephone, and 2-way devices
