- Complete assigned clerical and administrative tasks as required.
- Assess the next day's resources and forecast potential problems. Re-arrange the schedule anddrivers as needed to ensure proper coverage
- Report all issues promptly with possible solutions to Management
- Schedule Transportation routes as approved by Transportation Coordinator
- Operations Lunch Relief / Backup

Education & Training
High School graduate.
College degree preferred.
Commercial driver license with passenger endorsement.
Knowledge and Experience
Experience in Senior Care or related human services industry.
1-year experience with the elderly required
Extensive knowledge of PACE location and surrounding areas streets, neighborhoods and trafficpatterns.
Vehicle scheduling, dispatching and office experience desired.

Transportation Dispatcher
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY : Dispatches the transportation department’s fleet of vehicles. Ensures timely pickups, deliveries, and communication between truck and both internal and external customers.
Tracks and monitors the fleet and the flow of product. Assists with the basic supervision of the truck drivers and truck helpers, but not responsible for any accountability, only direction, re-direction and reporting.
May be assigned to work at multiple locations, within a region, as required by operational necessity.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions Statement(s) :
- Creates the daily route schedules, makes appropriate changes and updates throughout the day, and communicates all assignments to the Truck Drivers.
- Completes daily allocation spreadsheets and communicates with stores, donation centers and staff as necessary. Ensures all requests are met in a timely manner or that communication occurs when it is not possible.
- Serves as a driver or helper if necessary and qualified.
- Promptly and professionally answers the dispatch phone lines. Completes incident / accident reports as necessary. Immediately reporting all accidents and injuries to the on duty management member.
- Assists with maintaining the organization and efficiency of the St. Andrews (Otay Mesa) warehouse holding space and the dispatch office.
- Tracks donation counts and product movement and communicates status via e-mail every Monday to the donations and Transportation Director and the Vice President of Retail Operations.
- Provides daily direction and redirection to Drivers and Truck Helpers.
- Performs administrative tasks such as calendaring vacations, appreciation days andother requests for time off once approved.
Assigns extra company vehicles for employee use, completes overtime summary reports as assigned, daily updates and sends the DAR to the Coordinator II.
- Assists with performing daily tasks such as issuing equipment and supplies to staff asneeded, assisting with issuance and return of company uniforms and locker assignments, removing Poly-Loks, monitoring vehicles through Teletrac (GPS) system.
- Assists with scheduling needed repairs and service work for company vehicles to include : preventative maintenance, mechanical and body repairs, smog certification, teletrac installations / removals and graphic installations / removals.
- Assists with updating and maintaining the transportation employee matrix.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed or assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Education : High School Graduate or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience : One year related experience required or employment with Goodwill in the Transportation Department. Two years related experience preferred.
Computer Skills : Proficient basic skills in the following : E-mail, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Certificates & Licenses : Valid California Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company’s standards.
Other Requirements : Industrial driving experience preferred. Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
Security Dispatcher I

Description
The Security Dispatcher I performs standardized, ongoing duties, tasks, and procedures during the assigned shift, with an emphasis on radio traffic management, CCTV monitoring, access control and intrusion detection, issuance of parking permits, vehicle registration, visitor registration, call center and emergency phone lines, alarm consoles, dispatches security personnel as required, and maintains electronic documentation of all security related activity during the shift.
The working hours for this position are 10 : 30pm-7 : 00am.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs radio traffic management, including routine daily security operations, as well as emergency incidents and special events.
- Manages motor vehicle registration, including issuance of Salk Parking Permits in accordance with policy.
- Monitors informational and emergency phone lines, provides exceptional customer service and verbal information to faculty and staff, dispatches security personnel as required, notifies external agencies as required, notifies appropriate Institute contact person(s) as required, including inter-departmentally with multiple partner organizations.
- Monitors multiple CCTV cameras and performs electronic site surveillance, ensures compliance with various access control and departmental policies.
- Produces, programs, and issues ID badges and access control devices, in accordance with policy.
- Monitors visitor registration records and parking reservations, ensures compliance with guidelines, prepares reports and communicates with Security Service team.
- Maintains electronic documentation of all security related activities during assigned shift, including Daily Activity Reports (DAR), Incident Reports (IR), etc.
- Performs misc. clerical duties, such as filing, organizing, or completing requests for various reports; maintains records related to check in / out of hard keys, bicycles, off-site parking permits and key fobs, lost and found, and Contractor / Temporary badges.
- Monitors fire, panic, and other alarm systems for all Institute buildings, in accordance with Post Orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and various regulatory requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 1 year experience in security / law enforcement dispatching duties required.
- Security experience in a biotech, academic institute, or research institute preferred.
- Certificates, licenses, and registrations preferred : Valid California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services guard card.
- Computer skills required : Familiarity with CCTV and card access software; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed based on workload and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of security related information, multitask in fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively in stressful situations and at all levels of the organization.
- Post-offer physical required, including : Visual acuity : 20 / 40 with both eyes together, with or without corrective lenses.
The ability to distinguish red, green, and yellow colors is required. The use of corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses shall not interfere with an individual’s ability to effectively perform assigned security job duties during normal or emergency operations.
Hearing : Individuals shall have no hearing loss in the better ear greater than 30 decibels average at 500 Hz, 1,000 Hz, and 2,000 Hz with no level greater than 40 decibels at any one frequency.
A hearing aid is acceptable provided suitable testing procedures demonstrate auditory acuity equivalent to the above stated requirement.
The use of a hearing aid shall not decree the effective performance of the individual’s assigned security job duties during normal or emergency operations.
