The Data Analyst is part of the Philanthropy Advancement Services (AS) team and reports to the Director, Philanthropy Analytics & Data Architecture.

The 20+ member AS team manages and analyzes an extensive donor / prospect database with more than 600,000 constituent and prospect records combined.

  • Ability to respond to data calls and data requests through the creation of new reports and queries and communicate results effectively to a variety of stakeholders including senior management.
  • Analyze and interpret data used in key reporting data reporting.
  • Understand current state processes and recommend improvements to make programs and processes more efficient and effective.
  • Ability to understand client needs and pain points to recommend requirements in CBP data systems.
  • Ability to analyze data from relational databases and understand data structures.
  • Facilitate senior leadership-level meetings and working groups. Ensure meetings are structured and substantive by documenting discussion, identifying action items, and monitoring follow-on work.
  • Support requirements gathering process; ability to translate business needs into actionable OIT requirements.
  • Ability to explain and document complex methodologies in simple words.
  • Liaison with the technical development team by articulating operational and mission needs.
  • Communicate orally, in writing and graphically (MS Office Suite of Products to include Visio) with a wide variety of stakeholders across the CBP enterprise.
