REMOTE - Pacific Time Zone, USA JBA International is seeking the services of an experienced Data Analyst for a 6+ month Contract engagement.

This is a remote position to be based in Pacific Standard Time Zone. The project will be led by our clients Project Manager and will work closely with Business Systems Analysts.

What you will doing :

  • Develop innovative data analytic solutions that utilize modeling and optimization with business practicality for multiple business domains for ODS Products.
  • Identify, define, and evaluate key metrics and underlying drivers of positive user experience and member engagement.
  • Capable to take an abstract problem, and break it down into concrete, manageable pieces, that lend themselves to an analytical approach.
  • Build ranking and recommendation algorithms to recommend best next business action.
  • Analyze complex structured and possibly unstructured data to develop predictive models, forecasting, optimization, and recommendation rules.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders across multiple departments to identify data analytic opportunities and develop effective solutions.
  • Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization.
  • Collaborates with co-workers to achieve common goals.

What qualifications you should have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, etc.).
  • 3+ years of work experience in Data Analytics and Predictive Analytics, preferably in healthcare and / or financial services industries.
  • Demonstrated work experience rapidly applying industry-specific on the job business learning to practical solutions with no or little prior industry context.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL. Experience with big data platforms (AWS, Spark, Hadoop), experience with Python is a plus.

SUMMARY :

Our client, a creative / marketing agency has t he immediate need of a Data Analyst to optimize and maintain digital reporting dashboards across a large portfolio of clients, perform high priority regression analysis, and provide insights into Google Analytics reporting for key clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and build forecast models.

2. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and organize in client presentations as well as and maintain databases / data systems.

3. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

4. Run regression analysis for a top priority research project and work with the Senior Director, Insights & Data Marketing Strategy and Data Scientist

o Through regression analysis, identify potential correlations between firmographic data points and product purchase behavior to create profiles of "higher likelihood to purchase data personas.

o Work with Senior Director of Digital & Data Marketing Strategy to pursue hypothesis, present data and develop business rules for data processing vendor to add purchase probability score from the analysis.

5. Optimize and maintain digital reporting dashboards across a large portfolio of clients using PowerBI.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS :

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Experience in data programming and cleansing for highlighting performance indicators and locating error and code problems.

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Support efforts to grow and expand the portfolio of business.

Communicate findings to information team and may be used to influence overall marketing strategy and maximize campaign effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE) :

2-5 years of experience producing automated reports with Power BI (preferred)

Basic proficiency in Python and machine learning (as direction for agency is scalability and with dashboards and other opportunities moving towards SaaS partnerships), SaaS, C++, other

At least 2 years of professional experience in analytics-driven field, such as market research, finance, economics, etc.

1-2 years of direct experience with Google Analytics and GA4

1-2 years of experience using SQL in a professional setting and / or similar data visualization tool in a professional setting (like Power BI, etc.)

Experience with D&B Audience Builder a plus

Preference in east or central time zone

Responsibilities :

The Data Analyst will support Barrow Wise's GSA project and perform the following duties :

  • Organize and analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data sets using data analytical tools, to include experience locating, accessing, merging, cleaning, and standardizing data, and developing derived metrics.
  • Develop and / or manage & improve upon existing Google Apps Scripts to include the Project Data Sheet, Leasing eStretch, Expiring Lease Report, Performance measures / KPI dashboard, R9 READ Lease & Project Inventory, Realty Financial Specialist tracker, and Monthly Status Report.
  • Consult, develop, and build base requirements for the development of the READ Leasing, Planning, and Federal workload report, duration analysis, prioritization tool, and workload capacity model into a more automated and streamlined reporting tool.
  • Establish data pipelines, as well as develop and implement best practices and procedures for data pipelines in collaboration with the business line.
  • Migrate all READ Reports to Google to maintain and improve reporting.
  • Create and implement data collection and analysis tools while utilizing programming languages and environments (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Scala, Java).

Develop and maintain Google site and web application for READ

Consult, develop, build, and maintain base requirements for ad hoc leasing development to automate communications or reporting with leasing stakeholders.

Oracle to UNIX conversion when required.

  • Translating and converting Oracle SQL plus scripts with UNIX shell commands to Oracle BI publisher.
  • Utilize Google Apps Scripts to write both standalone and bound scripts using JavaScript ES6 without using any 3rd party Add-ons, Extensions or APIs that are not explicitly approved by GSA.
  • Automate manual processes using a variety of GSA approved tools, applications, reports, software, and platforms (to include process automation).
  • Leverage tools like SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, Google Scripts, and Google Data Studio to automate date pulls and data transformation.
  • Write HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript (utilizing jQuery) to create Google web services and applications.
  • Check accuracy of calculations, including present value analysis and cash flows.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 where required, see .

An Ideal Candidate has :

  • US Citizenship
  • Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
