Position Purpose:

Responsible for providing leadership of the Pro business within designated sales territory by driving sales growth and profitability through account relationships. Monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed financial performance to plan by working with the Regional Pro Sales Manager and Pro Sales Manager. Review pertinent Pro customer satisfaction results to understand customers' perspectives and use the information to drive local decisions and strategies to improve competitive position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • 10% Cross-Functional Collaboration - Communicate weekly activities with RPSM and PSM. Participate in district/regional meetings as needed
  • 60% Cultivate Sales Relationships - Drive incremental sales growth by cultivating business relationships with assigned customer portfolios and prospecting to drive incremental sales growth Establish effective partnerships with assigned customers by completing a minimum of 10 sales call appointments per week To maximize customer service, Outside Sales Representatives should partner with Pro Account Expeditor as a daily point of contact for customers with individual transactional needs Sell all products and services available from the enterprise, including Commercial Credit options, Volume Pricing Program, delivery, will call pickup, and website ordering
  • 10% Customer Relationship Management - Utilize SalesForce.com to plan future sales call activity and manage ongoing customer communications Maintain current customer information in CPR
  • 20% Sales Prospecting - Utilize internal Pro Desk Associates and Sales Development Representative to prospect for new business by conducting job site visits and local related community events Conduct prospect calls to US Communities leads

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:
  • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years account management/sales management experience
  • 2 plus years home improvement or home building industry experience
  • Successful professional growth in a high paced retail environment
  • Computer literacy with Internet Explorer and MS Office programs

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

  • No additional education

Designers support three primary store priorities: Customers First, In Stock, and Store Appearance. Designers support Customers First by providing fast, thorough, and friendly service to customers. Designers interact with customers by welcoming them to the store, assessing their kitchen and/or bath project needs, providing showroom tours, setting them up for kitchen and/or bath measures, meeting with them to go over room designs and make purchasing recommendations. Designers support In Stock initiatives by assessing stock levels of samples and brochures and restocking them as necessary. Designers support the Store Appearance priority by ensuring special order displays and showrooms promote a shopping environment that is appealing and safe.
