The Job

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity in the distribution center / hub by carefully checking in parts and tires, completing proper computer processing or paperwork, stocking or storing as appropriate and pulling the correct parts for our Pep Boys stores.

This position will check to make sure all shelves / bins are correctly stocked and carefully inspect all parts for missing pieces and used parts in the box, check each bin and record all adjustments to the inventory.

This position may be required to make deliveries. This position is responsible for safely operating a delivery vehicle less than three (3) tons and ensuring the delivery load is stacked, padded, and properly secured.

This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse / hub vehicles and equipment as needed
  • Ensure all delivery loads are stacked, padded, and properly secured
  • Verify the load accuracy against the Bill of Lading and acquire the appropriate signatures
  • Load and unload product on the delivery vehicle by hand, hand truck or dolly
  • Follow all policies and procedures related to product return policies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

What You Will Do
All Lowe’s associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Receiver/Stocker, this means:
• Being friendly and professional, and responding quickly to customer and associate needs.
• Ensuring merchandise is accurately received, stocked, and replenished.
• Following proper lifting guidelines to ensure safe moving and placement of merchandise.
The Receiver/Stocker helps provide and deliver the right products to our customers by safely unloading merchandise from incoming freight, moving it to the sales floor, and stocking departments. This associate handles hazardous materials, replaces damaged shelving, keeps the backroom organized, and ensures equipment is charged. Additionally, this associate organizes merchandise and top stock to set up stores for sales success. To be successful, the associate must understand and prepare for the physical demands of moving merchandise for the majority of his/her shift. Depending on location type, the Receiver/Stocker works morning, afternoon evening, or overnight to prepare for store opening.
Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.

What We're Looking For
• Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.
• Depending on location type, this role requires morning, afternoon evening, or overnight availability any day of the week.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.

What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).

Preferred Qualifications
• 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
• 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Summary

Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Supervisor Logistics is responsible to supervise, coordinate and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff members.

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations;
  • Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift / team logistics
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI)
  • Working in collaboration with customer in all aspect of operations
  • Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes
