Under supervision, perform pickup and delivery services of tools, equipment, and supplies to various maintenance shops on Campus and in off Campus housing communities.

Prepares inventory for transport and delivery. Load and unload trucks, sort and deliver inventory to appropriate locations within HDH.

Picks up excess equipment and supplies from departments, identifies, tags and logs equipment. Assists in the movement of items and processes related documentation.

Arranges to pick up deliveries from vendors as needed. Assist Sr. Storekeeper with data entry of part numbers, stock and receipts into Maximo inventory system.

Assists with the monthly or quarterly inventory count of all satellite shops on campus, record and delivers reports for data entry.

Assists with year-end parts count and reporting. Helps develop and maintain organization of satellite shops.

QUALIFICATIONS

Description

The main responsibility of the Specimen Processor is to accession the specimen(s) and ascertain that the test(s) ordered have the correct specimen.

The processor will operate an automobile to transport specimens to designated airports. - Rate f pay is determine based on experience, range is $16.40 to 17.50 an hour.

  • Responsible for informing a facility, and filling out appropriate paperwork, if a redraw is needed due to :
  • PT & PTT that are QNS
  • missing or incorrectly spelled name on requisition or specimen
  • mislabeled accession number and / or name
  • specimen not received Ensures that all patient requisitions are scanned into the Filebound Properly centrifuges all appropriate specimens for correct times to insure adequate serum or plasma for required testing.

Routes reference lab specimens, with a copy of the requisition, to the reference lab desk for inclusion into the TRK Sendout Manifest for the Burbank lab.

Whether a cooler is sent to the airport or a courier must be sent to a local reference lab, Dispatch must be notified for the transfer.

Regularly reviews in-house testing areas for completed specimens so they can electronically store them for any future add-on tests or repeats.

Proper Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times to protect the processor from any infectious material.

Prepares packages and makes deliveries to local airport.Follow work attendance policies; maintains consistent attendance and punctuality

Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor

  • Upon specimen arrival, properly marks the location of testing for each ordered test on the accompanying requisition.
  • Ensures that the correct specimen is collected for each test ordered, and that the tube types submitted are written in the left margin of the requisition.

Success for the position of a Pharmacy Service Liaison-Courier requires that the team member have at least a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), have a current and valid driver’s license (in the State where employed) and be insurable under AHF’s insurance policies.

A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience as a Pharmacy Service Liaison-Courier or equivalent, have data input skills and experience as a courier in healthcare is highly desirable.

Must have language skills that include the ability to read and interpret prescription documents, policies, procedures and guidelines, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, write routine reports and correspondence, including entries in various computer programs utilized by AHF and AHF Pharmacy, must have the ability to speak effectively with patients, clients and staff members in English (Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly desirable and Creole in some specific geographies).

Must have at least intermediate skills to calculate figures and amounts such as making change, accepting credit cards for payment and collecting signatures that are proof of delivery documents.
