Job Summary :

Assumes responsibility for the pick up and delivery of all medications processed by the pharmacy. Puts the IV solutions in the storeroom, and daily stocks the IV room.

Works on routine assignments within defined parameters, established guidelines and precedents. Follows established procedures and receives daily instructions on work.

Job Requirements :

Education and Work Experience :

  • High School Education / GED or equivalent : Preferred
  • Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education / related experience : Preferred

Licenses / Certifications :

Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older : Required

Essential Functions :

  • Answers beeper promptly and makes regular rounds to assigned units in hospital. Provides transportation for pharmacy services as directed.
  • Delivers / picks up medication as directed to and from various locations and / or vendors.
  • Stocks IV solutions in storeroom from shipping dock. Stocks IV room when necessary.
  • Delivers STAT medications in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate logs and reports other data as required. Applies developing / basic working knowledge and experience to the job.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • When on-duty, answers company issued mobile device promptly and is ready and available to work.
  • Notifies dispatch of availability for future assignment.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
