Job Description

The Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) Policy & Governance team directly supports Clients head of Wholesale Credit Risk. The team has the responsibility for establishing governance for WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures globally to ensure efficient management of multi-disciplinary processes and regulatory requirements.

As a key member within the WCR Policy & Governance team, the Policy Governance Manager will drive the strategic vision and oversight over the lifecycle of the WCR Framework, Policy, Standards, and Procedures.

The lifecycle will include the development, enhancement, implementation, issuance, periodic review, compliance, and reporting for all WCR documents and processes.

This Manager will also collaborate across ICG / PBWM Businesses, In-Business Credit Risk (IBCR), Risk Management, various Policy teams, Internal Audit, and senior management across the Firm.

This individual will support the implementation and maintenance of the WCR Framework, and Policy along with leading its transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

o Policy Advisory and Strategy- provide guidance to 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense regarding Policy requirements, interpretations, and compliance.

o Policy Development- provide strategic input into the development and enhancement of all WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and simplification.

Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the compliance and reviews of Policy and all related documents.

o Policy Implementation and Enforcement- engage with Businesses and Global Functions to track and influence the implementation of WCR Policy requirements.

Provide senior management with timely reporting on progress of adherence to Policy.

o Publication and Maintenance of Policies- ensure that Businesses and Global Functions have a complete, accurate and current inventory of their respective Policy documents.

Oversee the development and enhancement of newly designed WCR Policy Platform.

o Regulatory Engagement- lead and participate in all regulatory engagement on WCR Policy and related documents.

o Training- coordinate with key stakeholders to establish and roll-out WCR Policy training

Qualifications :

o 8+ years of experience in governance, and controls, preferably with a focus on Policy development and management

o Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in motivating teams and driving positive and sustained change

o Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized, flexible

o Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging

o Knowledge and understanding of financial services and its regulations

o Bachelors degree or equivalent is required; an advanced degree is a plus (not required)

POSITION SUMMARY :

Safe operation of CNC boring mill and / or lathe as required by management to produce quality products efficiently and within specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Operate CNC machine to manufacture parts per CNC programs, drawings and / or instructions.
  • Setup material to be machined onto the work center accounting for all safety protocols.
  • Review CNC program output, part references, tooling and compare against drawings / router instructions to ensure correlation.
  • Evaluate complex setups for safety and effectiveness prior to beginning machining to reduce risk of injury and / or errors.
  • Using prior training, perform secure rigging techniques and test prior to lifting heavy parts. Do not assume.
  • Select all equipment and tooling required for the operation based on instructions / discussions and notify foreman / supervisor on any concerns that may arise.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment, company and personal, is calibrated prior to each use and notify QC department of any discrepancies.

Do not use nonconforming equipment.

  • Inspect all machined features and compare to drawing to ensure specified dimensions are met.
  • Perform minor program edits before and during machining when required to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operation to reduce risk of nonconformance or machine breakdown.
  • Assist other personnel if requested to do so to share knowledge and ideas on operational success.
  • Ensure all labor hours are accurately recorded by signing, scanning operations and time clocks as instructed.
  • Ensure work area is clear of all obstacles and clean any spills immediately to minimize risk of injury.
  • Follow company policy to wear supplied Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing duties.
  • Return all non-essential equipment to the required storage location after each use.
  • Daily inspection and maintenance of fluid levels, filters, covers on machine and notify foreman / supervisor of any concerns.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain good attendance and notify supervisor on absences.
  • Attend and participate in group meetings related to business topics.
  • Complete online and physical training assignments as required within specified time period.
  • May be asked to mentor other less experienced employees during periods of training.
  • May be asked to provide ideas or improvements to operational performance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 year experience in operating a CNC machine.
  • Minimum 5 year experience in machining medium to large complex components.
  • Experience using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Exceptional knowledge on machining techniques and problem solving.
  • Mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry formulae.
  • Adequate visual, verbal and written skills to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to evaluate and understand detailed and complex drawings and instructions.
  • Ability to perform daily tasks safely and without assistance.
  • Possess adequate personal tools to carry out daily functions.
  • Ambitious and motivated to get the job done.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, standing, kneeling, reaching and climbing.

Position Summary

This position works with large VTL, HBM and CNC machines, manufacturing valves to be used in critical conditions for the petro / chemical industries.
