GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Responsible for the decoration of all finished baking products. Coordinates the ordering and decoration of all wedding and specialty cakes.

Decorates show pieces if required. Responsible for quantity, quality and rotation of finished pieces in all outlets of hotel.

Responsible for ordering, receiving, rotation and storage of all items associated with Decorating Room. Ensures Decorating Room is kept sanitary in accordance with Health Department rules and regulations.

Works with Executive Pastry Chef on all paperwork associated with employees in Decorating Room.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

  • Follow Sanitation Safety Procedures and Daily Sanitation Guidelines
  • utilize proper hand washing techniques
  • uniform must be clean and presentable
  • utilize sanitizer at work station and document (wash, rinse, sanitize)
  • maintain temperature log - cook to and hold time; includes hot and cold items
  • Must work as a team member
  • Must be able to communicate with coworkers and supervisors
  • Must be able to follow plate presentation specifications, recipe specifications,
  • Portion control and food quality guidelines
  • Identify all food products in kitchen
