Mission
Our elevated dining concept is for an experienced Bartender who is familiar with a wide variety of craft cocktails and is capable of delivering excellent customer service.
The Bartender will be responsible for keeping the drinks flowing, the guests satisfied and the business running smoothly.
In order to do this the Bartending will serve patrons at the bar while fulfilling drink orders for the dining room, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar, and maintaining alcohol and beverage control and proper inventory levels.
Bartender reports to Toca Madera GM, as well as all other management staff, working closely to Toca Madera bar manager regarding Toca Madera Bar & Beverage Operations / Functions.
Employee can go directly to bar Manager regarding any issues, operational idea’s & concerns however reports directly to all Toca Madera management and GM.
Outcomes
Day to Day
Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times

Assisting staff in constant growth and learning by The Madera Group’s standards
Assisting in continuous growth of knowledge and hospitality for all bar staff
Trainings for any new hires
Liaison between Bar and servers, bussers and runners
Correspond any 86’d items to management as well as any other issues
Cleanliness and organization of bar
Make sure that opening and closing duties are being completed and standards are always met
Communicates menu changes, specialty menus, Being aware of new bar items or cocktails
Ensure brand standards are maintained
Ensure correct product is being used as specified by Beverage Director and on menu
Relay any changes on menu to management and staff
Proper back bar and well placement of spirits
Oversee preparation of cocktails, making sure the right measurements and ingredients are being used.
Cleanliness of all wells and organization
Making sure that all items prepared properly by prep
Help push staff incentive programs
Building rapport with guests in order to build our number of repeat customers

BARTENDER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for bank and daily
small cash change.
Ensure that all beverage are
prepared to maintain the quality standards consistently at all times as
mandated by TOG Corporate Operations, TOG Director of Operations and
General Manager.
Prepares and serves alcoholic
and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our standardized drink recipes.
Learn names and personally
recognize regulars.
Record drink orders accurately
and immediately after receipt into Point of Sale.
Accept guest payment, process
credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks
and replenish snacks for bar patrons.
Maintains bottles and glasses
in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink
preparation and promotion of beverages.
Clear and reset tables in bar
area.
Restock and replenish bar
inventory and supplies.
Present drink menus, make
recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
Maintain cleanliness in all
areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage
areas.
Receive and serve food orders
to guests seated at the bar and servers.
Report all equipment problems
and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
Be available to fill in as
needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as
directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Perform blind cash drop in safe
at the end of shift.
Demonstrate proficient food
knowledge.
Demonstrate proficient beverage
knowledge (Liquor, Wine, and Beer).
Assist other FOH staff to
perform setting up restaurant, cleaning restaurant, bussing tables, running
food, taking food orders, making cocktails, serving guests, assisting host
staff and opening and serving wine, when needed.
Perform all duties while
following all health department sanitation requirements.
Demonstrate a positive example

Proper Hospitality is seeking an experience, personable full-time Bartender at Lillie's, our high-end French bistro style restaurant at The Culver Hotel, our 46-room boutique luxury property located in the heart of downtown Culver City.
The Bartender will prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages and will interact with guests, take orders, serve snacks and drinks as necessary.

Job Summary :
Our bartenders are responsible for providing friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests.
Must be engaged, and provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service where attention to detail is key. As a primary point of contact for guest interactions, you will be responsible for selling and serving food and beverages using knowledge, hospitality, and service skills.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS system
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
- Confirm orders with the chefs and servers whenever a clarification is requested
- Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques (daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages)
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.
- Implement steps of service for guests consistently
- Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond promptly and courteously to any requests
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow bartenders as situations arise.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Experience :
- Minimum 2 years fine dining food and beverage bartender experience
- Previous POS system experience
- Must have excellent knowledge of fine dining room and service procedures and functions
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
- Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding guest services skills
