Aviation Project Manager
Responsibilities
include managing architectural programming, designs, and construction documents services for all sizes of primarily aviation projects;
coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members; and working closely with clients and contractor / developer design / build partners.
- Project Manager related tasks such as proposing on, interviewing and winning projects; coordinating and leading project teams;
- building and maintaining strong client relationships; developing scopes, fees, contracts, and subcontracts; tracking and monitoring scopes, schedules, budgets and fees on small to large projects;
scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings; developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
Travel will be required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following :
- a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture, engineering, or other related field from an accredited college or university
- at least seven years of relevant experience of which at least two must be at the project manager level
- if no degree, must have at least eleven years of relevant experience with two being at the project manager level
The ideal candidate will have any / all of the following :
- Experience leading project pursuits as well as developing pricing and scopes for new proposals
- Ability to manage small and large projects from scope, schedule, and budget stages
- Guiding the design of projects to meet client's expectations
- Ability to develop aviation market contacts and develop / maintain business relationships
- Professional license or the ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire

Requirements :

- Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, rework process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals, and MSDS labels.

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
- Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.
- Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program; or equivalent.
- Attainment of trade certification.

This position is Project Manager with aviation infrastructure (vertical / horizontal), be intimately familiar with Airport / Airline Operations, and / or related experience.
Candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, guiding design, construction, inspection, and quality assurance. Job Responsibilities
- Manage and plan project execution by developing detailed schedules, defining milestones and deliverables, identifying resource requirements, and coordinating day-to-day activities.
- Manage project financials by forecasting, monitoring, reporting on, and controlling project costs on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively establish risk and issue management procedures; development and oversight of mitigation plans, and resolving conflict where needed.
- Establish ongoing project reporting, tailoring communications to intended audience(s), and delivering information consistently and in a professional manner.
- Manage schedules and budgets
