As we continue to grow in our Camera Systems Group, Malin Space Science Systems is looking for another high-level Electronics Assembly Technician to work on Flight Hardware Systems under the direction of Production Manager or Production Management.
Job Duties
- Assemble electronic assemblies by following detailed procedures and utilizing solder assembly best practices.
- Creates and maintains detailed assembly records.
- Assists hardware engineers in assembly of prototype, flight electronics and cable harnesses, testing, troubleshooting, and integrating flight electronics with mechanical components.
- Performs other duties as required or requested which may become essential to this position.
Qualifications
- High-School Graduate / GED required. Some college or Trade School / ROP certification desired.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience.
- Excellent hand soldering, harness wiring, cable building, documentation, organization, and communication skills.

- Handling and managing fragile composite materials.
- Bond, prep and bonding of composite structures.
- Notate usage and out time controls on all adhesive materials used.
- Report data and interface with other employees and departments.
- Tooling preparation and release application.
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures for fabricating hardware.
