Job Summary
As a customer service agent you are the first impression of a passengers airport experience. Customer Service positions encompass checking in and ticketing passengers, escorting passengers to and from aircraft, and resolving customer complaints.
Proficient use of a computer is needed as well as EXCELLENT customer assistance to passengers. This position requires working in a fast paced environment with time constraints to meet published departure goals.
A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.
Responsibilities :
Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person.
Must be able to announce both incoming and outbound flights.
Handle credit cards, and personal check transactions with accuracy and properly account for all collections and conduct the appropriate airline close out procedures.
Accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs. and placed on conveyor belts.
Agents are also required to operate jetways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
Use airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information.
Able to stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time.
You may be responsible for escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
Work independently without direct supervision.
Requirements :
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must possess good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
Possess entry-level computer skills
Occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
Pass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

UA - Ramp Lead
Classification : Variable Hour, Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Ramp Lead is first and foremost responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for the entire crew while properly safeguarding the aircraft and the flights performance.
By supporting Ramp Agents professional development, this role ensures that Ramp Agents are knowledgeable about ground operations related GAT policies and procedures to ensure excellent customer service and on time flight performance.
Leads work with Supervisors and other leaders on staffing, supporting regular and irregular operations, and may provide training to Ramp Agents as necessary.
Job Duties
Ramp Leads must report to work on a regular and timely basis.
Ensures Ramp Agents are in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ready to perform duties
Provides input on operational improvements and efficiencies
Reports operational feedback for flight delays and performance to leadership
Addresses security related issues to leadership, is responsible for meetings
Able to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints
Ensure Ramp Agents are adhering to our uniform standards
Lift, load, unload, and transport customer bags and cargo to / from aircrafts, bag carts, and conveyor belts,
Drive and operate ground support equipment.
Prepare cabin for customer boarding and departure, which can include cleaning of seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys and lavatories.
Ensure necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights.
Follow company and federal safety regulations and procedures.
Perform other duties as required
Requirements :
Must possess computer experience (6+ months) and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc).
A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
Must have a High School diploma, GED
Must be at least 18 years of age
Capable of processing information in a timely manner
Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License
Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
Basic computer literacy
Previous ramp or airline experience
Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment
Must clear a FBI fingerprint background check
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces and repetitively

Willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises
Specific Working Hours

Airline Aircraft Cleaner | SMF Airport
Job Summary
The work of the Aircraft Cleaner classification, depending on assignment, includes any or all of the following;
Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.

Responsibilities
Equip airplane cabin, by reading check list specifications, with equipment and supplies such as rugs, linens, blankets, etc.

- Operate vacuum cleaner and similar mechanized cleaning aids.

- Stocking and cleaning of the cabin service make-up rooms area.
- Stocking and maintaining cabin service kits.
- Disposing of trash, rubbish and waste that is incidental and related to the applicable job functions.
- Uses cleaning fluids and materials, such as washing solutions, scrapers, squeegees, wringer pails and vacuum cleaners.
- Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
- It is understood and agreed that the Company will determine the need and use of the Aircraft Cleaner classification, pursuant to customer contract needs.
In those situations where it is determined that the Aircraft Cleaner classification is not needed, the above work will continue to be performed by the Ramp Service Clerk classification.
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
Minimum Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.
Preferred Skills
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Must be able to perform functions in variable weather conditions as well as environmental conditions, i.e., jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise.
- Lifts refuse containers weighing up to 50 lbs.; reach, bend, and twist in confined space to hand clean, using cleaning fluid and materials, the interior of aircraft including meal trays, ash trays, lavatories, overhead storage bins and buffets.
- Ability to judge distances.
