ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Executive Assistant (EA) to the Global Head of Service (GHoS) is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership of one of the world’s fastest growing media, content and tech companies. The EA will instrumental in enhancing GHoS’s effectiveness and its senior team. The EA is responsible for building strong trust and confidence within the Service organization, with the CEO’s Directs, and the Audible EA community. They are relied upon for timely support and, thus, possesses a deep understanding of the organization’s vision, goals, priorities and who’s who, and the necessary context to guide decisions around prioritization of the GHoS’s time.
The EA will also act as a consultant and trusted partner to the GHoS, supporting the leader with tracking strategic plans, helping drive complex decisions, expediting execution of tactical day to day tasks, and helping with preparation of presentations and documents.

As a Senior Executive Assistant, you will...
  • Proactively manage complex calendar schedules of multiple leaders (multiple locations in multiple time zones)
  • Assure key information and appropriate materials gets to the GHoS in an optimal format at the right time to prep for internal and external meetings and presentations
  • Organize and orchestrate GHoS meetings with agendas, assuring the “right people are in the room”
  • Organize large-scale GHoS org meetings (staff meetings, off-sites, all-hands, business reviews)
  • Act as a consultant and key project coordinator to the GHoS to support their highest priority workstreams
  • Take minutes at meetings for GHoS, tracks and drive completion of key deliverables with follow ups
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the priorities, work, and progress within each functional team under the GHoS to draw attention to emerging opportunities
  • Manage global travel arrangements, lodging, meals, etc. for multiple leaders, adhering to company policies
  • Prepare and submit expense reports as needed in a timely fashion via Workday for multiple leaders
  • Support team activities (e.g., outings, holiday parties), as needed, to help advance team culture
  • Manage employee recognition and coordinate informal employee meetings for GHoS

The Director, Strategy & Corporate Development will be a core member of this highly visible team that provides strategic and financial advice to Audible’s CEO and our executive leadership.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Audible’s Strategy & Corporate Development Team identifies, designs, and executes new organic growth strategies drawing on media and technology trends and the competitive landscape. We then source, negotiate, structure, and close strategic partnerships, direct investments, joint ventures, and acquisitions to accelerate these plans. We work closely with Amazon’s investment funds and the company’s other media & entertainment and digital business units (including Prime Video, Music, Games, Wondery, Twitch, Studios/MGM, and Alexa/Amazon.com) to think holistically on behalf of our customers.

  • Build cohesive strategic plans to accomplish business objectives, identify specific areas of opportunity through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and formulate goals and milestones that will enable us to achieve those objectives
  • Draft recommendations using a combination of Excel, PowerPoint and the PR/FAQ format based on input from content, product, marketing, finance, analytics, and technology leadership teams
  • Lead inorganic growth efforts by partnering with finance, legal, Amazon Corp Dev, and Audible executives
  • Be a strategic advisor for senior leadership across the organization on build/buy/partner opportunities
