What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be
- Operation of cranes, hand tools and forklifts
- Welding of structural material through established manufacturing processes with minimum instruction and minimum supervision
- Accurately maintain required records
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned work area
- Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
- Assist other new welders in learning welding skills
- Complete and follow all safety procedures and policies
- Complete company provided training to effectively perform required job responsibilities
- Other work as assigned
Your Education Should Be
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a 3G structural welding test
- Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols
- Proficient in welding best practices
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
- Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
- Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
- Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
- Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
- Repetitive hand movements during welding operations
Your Professional Experience Should Be
- Ability to pass a 3G structural welding test
- Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols

Welder
Class 1 & Class 2 Stick Welders
Pay : $25.00 to $29.00 / hr.

Location : Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Shifts Available :
Weekdays : 6 : 00am-6 : 00pm OR 6 : 00pm-6 : 00am 1 day off during the week
Must pass a 3G stick plate test
Class 1 & Class 2 Welders are required to be safety minded, highly productive experts who can cut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components
- Extensive knowledge of welding with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes in the manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers
- Ability to pass a weld qualification for each process
- Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions
- Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS / PQR
- Ability to be proficient in arc gouging process
- Ability to be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires minimal supervision and who can efficiently execute a plan to make jobs happen on time within the hours given
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position will be exposed to welding fumes and gases, and dust from grinder : use of PPE imperative. Work area is not climate controlled so extreme heat / cold may be experienced.
- Must be able to safely lift fifty pounds
- Ability to work in a shop environment in all seasons
- Ability to safely enter and work productively in confined spaces of an exchanger or vessel
- Ability to safely tie off and work from elevated heights on top of exchanger or vessel

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Fuses (welds) metal structural components together by means of arc welding using one process in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
- Performs welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning and lying out of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence.
- Performs some welding on objects involving moderate safety and load requirements working in one position.
- Movement of pole shafts using an overhead crane and the gathering of parts and materials to complete the project.
- Performs other duties as directed by leaders and management.May also layout guidelines or marks on metal parts and may cut metal with a cutting torch.
- Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a minimum standard of productivity between 40.00% and 44.99% for the classification of arms, substation and t-pole
- Maintiain a minimum standard of productivity between 55.00% and 59.99% for the classification of SW pole
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited trade school for welding preferred.
- At the end of 90 Calendar days the candidate must be able to maintain an acceptable level of production, quality and attendance as determined by Management.

Welder - 1st shift
General Summary :
The Welder position is responsible for setting, fitting, and welding various assemblies to be used in the construction of our air handling equipment.
This position is 1st shift and will work on our Tulsa Campus.
Shift : 7AM-3PM
Pay : $23.91
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintains a high focus on safety and quality within the department
- Identify work to be performed via MII or SAP work center priority and access unit and assembly drawings
- Reads and interprets blue prints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements (preferred)
- Size up components and verify they are within specified tolerances
- Set up weld equipment for specific task to be performed
- Weld components using proper equipment and techniques
- Grind and finish welds to make aesthetically appealing
- Operate material handling equipment as needed, based on safety guidelines
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks (5S) and preventative maintenance tasks
- High level of focus and concentration level to ensure quality work and to avoid safety hazards
- Other duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
- Between 6-12 months welding experience, required
- Aluminum welding experience
- Basic Math & Computer skills, required
- Ability to pass welding test on material in use, required
- Ability to safely operate equipment (welder, torch, plasma cutter, grinder, material handling equipment), required
- Ability to operate basic hand / power tools and read measuring devices
- Ability distinguish the various thickness and types of material
- Strong attention to detail and high focus on safety and quality
- Ability to communicate effectively
Physical Demands :
- Must lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a routine basis

Mig welder
Experienced MIG Welder, temp to hire : Experience with Hard Wire MIG Welding, Spray Arc, production type environment a plus.
Operate and interpret reading from basic measurement equipment. Fitter welder is a plus.
- Possess basic mathematic skills
- Ability to safely operate forklift under supervision
