WorkSkill is currently looking to hire 10 Welders for our client in Orlando, FL.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc
- Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding).
- Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.
Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions.
- Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and / or equipment products.
- Acquire welding certification by the Client's Assurance Dept. for the type of welding assigned. American
- Welding Society 3G / 3F certification skills are the minimum requirement for all welding positions.
- Operate and / or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable &
- bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and Air Arc.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturers
- instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs and complete the daily check sheets.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
- Maintain level of work performance in accordance with company standards and / or job order specifications.
- Participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and focus groups.
- Use a computer mouse to access and open / close computer documents.
- Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Essential Functions of the Job (with or without reasonable accommodation)

- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and devices, including a welding gun.
- Ability to read and comprehend a tape measure. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and / or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Welding experience required.
- Heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
- Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse, and locate and open / close files.

Pipe Welder
Purpose and Essential Duties
The Pipe Welder will perform welding procedures according to code based on the project needs and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks at a level that meets job specifications.
- Mark the welds made as directed by company policy.
- Clean and paint all welds as required by the job specifications.
- Assist Fitter as needed.
- Complete and maintain a weld map if required.
This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Pipefitter Foreman.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications :
- Must be able to pass a 6G SMAW & GMAW X-ray test.
- Must be able to weld 30in bore pipe.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial mechanical piping.
- Basic OSHA 10 hour safety.
- Operate an oxygen and acetylene burning rig, cutting and beveling pipe.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
Travel Requirements
Infrequent travel to Company or client locations. Approximately 10% of time will be spent traveling.
Physical / Work Environment Requirements
Essential
Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend / stoop, squat / crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.

Welder
The Mold Maintenance Welder Fabrication and repair of various metal parts using different types of metal altering machines such as punch presses, drill presses, milling centers, steel welding machines, aluminum welding machines, saws, ironworkers, shear, etc.
Key Responsibilities :
- Must have at least two years of experience welding steel and aluminum using some of the various equipment listed above.
- Must be able to understand and read blueprints.
- Monitor and stock shop supplies necessary to complete projects.
- Must be able to use different types of measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, tape measures, etc.
- Must have welding machine setup experience, such as different types of welding guns, saw sets up’s, etc.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Work with Engineering on upcoming prototypes.
- Perform daily cleanup and inspection of tools needed to complete job tasks.
- Follow the instruction of the Manager / Supervisor / Lead
- Inspects all parts to be complete and up to quality standards.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
